They put an expiration date on them because the latex breaks down over time.
I would never want to use expired any medical item. Not a good idea.
Do any of you care one way or another If they are or not?
Curious.
I mean they are sealed.

When the latex breaks down; the condom breaks.... Therefore Safe Sex no more!
Safe, hot and happy hobbying

P.S. When you leave them in extreme hot or cold temps. the same effect happens!
Good to see a man with common sense and morals...See you soon.

IM SO GLAD I read this thank you.
your used condoms yuck!!!! Thank god I have short hair.
Would those be the "Something About Mary" brand?
Haha! Too funny!
JK... I'm surprised you even took the time to look for an expiration date.
Expired meds are fine as FDA puts regulations of 1yr from time of fill. Even though the meds are good for several years.
Have a good weekend and what's left of the summer!!
I am not trying to challenge you, but do ask that people be very careful about using expired meds. Of course, you could just be referring to an OTC allergy medication which is no big deal (as long as it doesn't interact with any other Rx meds you're taking).
I'll use this as a public service message to remind folks to never take the end of that antibiotic you didn't finish because you started feeling better. What this does is cause you to become resistant to antibiotics when you need them. Don't self medicate when you feel ill because your current infection could be viral whereas your old illness could have been bacterial.
I'll get off the bandstand and again I'm not trying to challenge the gentleman above. He could be a pharmacist or physician for all I know.
Just remember the chemical composition of drugs can change over time in addition to becoming weaker, so you want to be careful.
Have a happy weekend all.
Love,
Kate
The first is one year from the date it was filled. That is fixed at that specific date. The second is the date that is printed on the real container that the drugs came from. That could be earlier than a year in some cases.
As to condoms (the OP's question), I would be very suspect in using expired ones, since it is a physical change in the material that will break down, and could have a higher chance of breaking.
DETERMINING TIRE DATE CODES
How old are the tires on your vehicle? The date of manufacture is indicated by the last group of digits in the DOT manufacture code on the sidewall of the tire. The number is often stamped in a recessed rectangle. The DOT code tells who manufactured the tire, where it was made and when. The last group of digits in the code is the date code that tells when the tire was made.
Before 2000, the date code had three digits. Since 2000, it has had four. The first two digits are the week of the year (01 = the first week of January). The third digit (for tires made before 2000) is the year (1 = 1991). For most tires made after 2000, the third and fourth digits are the year (04 = 2004).
the date code is 8PY806. The 8PY is a manufacturing shift code, and the date the tire was actually made was 0806, which is the 8th week (08)in the year 2006 (06).
The date of manufacture is essential information for car owners and tire buyers because tires deteriorate even if they are not used. European automobile manufacturers recommend replacing ANY tire that is more than six (6) years old, including the spare tire. No such recommendations have yet been made by domestic vehicle manufacturers
What does that have to do with the expiration date? The latex degrades and gets brittle over time. Even if you get the thing on without it breaking it will shred when activity starts. If you care about your own safety and the safety of your clients don't use expired condoms.
This would have been a good time to skip the ad link and use an alias by the way...
If you need condoms that are not expired, there are free STD clinics on the North Shore in both Lynn and Beverly. They do free testing and will give you bags of free condoms and lube. The one in Lynn is run by Mary and Amy. They used to post on here once in a while offering their free testing and supplies.

why would anyone even consider using a condom with an expired date. I have a brand new, unopened three-pak every single time I see a lady. Used or unused, they get thrown away, and I get a new one for the next time.
This post scared me like none other I have read.
