I can't speak for everyone, but myself. To the best of my memory I only canceled one appointment and that was because I had a fever and chills. And if and when I have to reschedule, I have always given a min of 6 hours notice. As mentioned in the previous post...it's a two way street. I respect my friends and their lives I just ask the same.
Recently I read a post from a hobbyist, that was irate because a lady had stood him up after he had confirmed the appointment and drove to the location. To you sir, I feel your pain. But this as he mentioned in your post this is a two way street. Recently, a now ex-friend and I agreed to meet, as a matter of fact it was arranged for this morning. I normally, don't mind if a person has to re-schedule because like everyone, life happens. But today it is a exception and I had to share.
Gent's, as a provider I understand plans change. But please don't confirm on a Saturday evening for a Sunday morning, then re-confirm Sunday morning and then call 1/2 after the arranged time with an excuse. The reason I mention etiquette is...Sunday morning is the only day some of us sleep in. And Saturday night is the one evening some of us have time to go out with friends and family. This person cost me more than sleep, he cost me a evening out to dinner and movies with friends (because I had to get up early) and a day skiing in NH. Please be considerate when requesting Sunday morning appointments, that you can fulfill the commitment.
In the meanwhile have a great day and fabulous week. And remember good manners and etiquette go a long way.
You're absolutely right! Yeah, I know I'm nobody but I here a lot about guys canceling appts what about the providers? With your schedules, professional and personal how often are you late or cancel/reschedule.
