We are addicted to pussy, and will go out of our way to stay in their good graces. Most of us are much more likely to come to the defense of a lady that we have a shot at seeing than we are to defend another guy.

A man is a NCNS, he is banned by the provider, put on DNS lists, and is considered a person nobody wants to see but...

When a provider NCNS, everybody defends her and says things like "Crap happens."??

A woman posts something negative about a man on the public boards (Whether justified or not), and other men defend her but...

When a man makes any negative comment about a woman, he is soundly attacked for his comment?

If a man posts a valid but negative review of another man's favorite provider, the reviewer is soundly attacked as being a liar.

Just wondering....

I don't know the exact answers to your questions, but I do know that the nature of this hobby tends to make people jump into 'defensive mode' very quickly... I don't know why, but I notice it too : )

What I can tell you, is that your post below was mis-interpreted because of the limits of techonology : )  If you had been talking face to face to someone and said, "The first thing you need to do is to learn how to spell Massachusetts", your voice inflections and body language would have shown that you were joking : )

But... posting on this board, what you said could be interpreted in 2 ways...

The first thing you need to do is to learn how to spell Massachusetts :)

OR...

The first thing you need to do is to learn how to spell Massachusetts :-@

So... I guess the lesson for today is, if you want to make a sarcastic joke, don't forget to put a smiley face at the
end : )

but at the same time I think everyone would be better served on this board if people would just lighten up!  The guy was obviously kidding and the analysis paid to his welcome message was overblown.  Seems to be happening quite a bit on these here boards.

I think a boat load of people here simply need to get laid.

The man is fairly anonymous here and the Provider is not. The customer doesn't have reviews, a profile and perhaps a posting history here on TER. In other words, he has no one interested in defending him.

I've never NCNS'd though I have had to cancel on a few hours notice once or twice. I still see the ladies in question.  I have not been banned or black listed because of it.

Shit DOES happen but common courtesy, to me at least, dictates that an explanation is always in order. NCNS, with no explanation, is not acceptable behavior on either side of the hobby.

Excuse me?  All of the providers I know use a Stage name, and few if any of us know who they really are in real life.  The guy, on the other hand, if he isn't using his REAL name would not be seen by many, if any providers.

True the customers don't get reviewd, but they sure have a posting history.

I have never been a NCNS either, but I have had it happen to me on a number of occaisions.  I would agree that common courtesy should be the norm, but again this seems to be kind of one sided.

I'm not trying to slam any providers, but that is the reality of the way this Biz works. Some Providers are just more reliable than others. Some care more about their customers than others.  But, the fact remains that it really is very one sided when we are speaking about who is anonymous and who will bw barred for what behavior.  (I know I'm in trouble again!)

I'm not saying it's right or wrong but it is reality on a board like this.  Other providers and customers are going to come to the defense of a lady much faster than they are to a guy who no-showed.

Add to that the fact that customer black listing is done via back channel among providers and agencies so there really is no court of public opinion the way there is when a guy shows up here complaining that a lady NCNS.

Consideration and fairness are all well and good but there is that pesky little "reality" word that often gets in the way.  Ultimately we as customers have the option of voting with our wallets on who will will see or not see.

Other than some CL fly-by-nighters and a couple of lamented experiences with the infamous "dangerous curves" years ago I have never had a NCNS from a legitimate, well reviewed lady.

Generally speaking, a provider has more to lose than a client in NCNS situations.

If it's outcall, all you are doing is sitting in your hotel room or at home being disappointed. Not great, but not a big deal. If it's incall, who do you think pays for the room and loses the opportunity to cover that cost? And a provider who does NCNS more than when crap happens also takes a real risk of ruining her ability to make a living.

Sorry, but I have more empathy for them.

Gee, I understand the lady pays for incalls but when I take a 1/2 or full day away from my business I stand to lose a lot more then the cost of a hotel room. So please don't tell me how the provider suffers more then the rest of us. We all lose something in these situations. Even worse explaining to the wife why I am washing it really hard in the shower!

The answer to the original question is "Women have half the money and all the pussy"
Nobody asked jmo...

men, it's simple evolution, natural selection at work. ;)

There's a lot to what you say. I was stood up only once, thankfully. I sat in a hotel parking lot for half an hour calling her, figuring if I left and she'd try to pass my name around as a no-show.

in this hobby.Fact is, there are very few white knights for the guys! And providers pull NCNS at the same rate hobbyists do. No one claimed this hobby was Fair.

We are addicted to pussy, and will go out of our way to stay in their good graces. Most of us are much more likely to come to the defense of a lady that we have a shot at seeing than we are to defend another guy.

I was just thinking about this the other day when after I had read that long thread below (and I won't be rehashing the subject, just scroll down if you wonder what it is). But I remember a guy had posted something negative about a well known provider, and how she handled clients. He was attacked from all directions by providers and hobbyist, and accused of having a vendetta against the girl and was just making things up.

The sad part was he was basically right about the escort's bad points because I had seen her also and could confirm what he wrote was dead on. I would have gone further and said she would speak nonstop about her boyfriend/ex husband, and the last appointment I had with her, she was high as a kite.

The part about her talking about her various exes really ruined the appointment, because that's the last thing I want to hear. Just like a provider who wrote a while ago that some hobbyist came into the appointment talking about all the other women he had seen and complained about them nonstop. But yet if I were to name the provider who was talking like this about the guys in her life (plus being extremely late for our appointment), I'd be persona non-grata. I guess the point of my long winded rant is that it seems like lately honesty does not pay on the boards. It's happened over the past year and a half.

honesty does pay in the long run, its just deciding what you want to be brutally honest about. Picking and choosing your battles. Really some issues just aren't worth the BS.
