No really, I set up an appointment with butterfly dust and she never called back to confirm or returned her e mails. I know it is a flighty business but my references are good and would just like a little common courtesy.

She ended up not coming to town---she had a difficult time finding a hotel.

Yes, she should have contacted everyone; her communication might sometimes be a little spotty, but she's worth it when you actually get to see her...

Considering that she had agreed to a time and date and than to ignore all follow up attempts to confirm, than I would say she is rude.

She's definitely a ton of fun although I never had any communication issues when she was around New England.

Something may have come up besides hotel issues.

I had planned to see her Friday.  We exchanged a few PM's and e-mails.  I made arrangments to have the day free 5/7 but did not realize till the evening before that she does not publish a phone #...and just e-mailed her to call or text me in the morning.

By 10am I started calling TBD (my plan B) but they were having phone problems.

At noon I was on TER seeing/checking who might be available (my plan C).

At 2pm I was in the room with Victoria Lane.

Moral of the story: always have a backup plan.

Silver lining to butterfly's situation: she should be visiting Boston again soon.  :-)

She is still at the top of my to-see list.  New note to self: she can be a flaky scheduler...have an extra backup plan.
