Maybe it is me, and I know CL can be a dangerous place, but with a little patience and good judgment, there seems to be some nice Ladys posting there lately. I never went to CL before, but I met CrystalLove there, Karyn, and I have seen Ally Moore and Chelsea post there. Interesting!

....& that is nothing new.

An advertising medium is just that- and interestingly I find it to be no different than Eros, Cityvibe or any other escort mall used in conjunction with my website and review history here on TER.

If you're curious, the typical client who cites Craigslist as the advertisement with which he found me is:

- Aquainted with TER and/or a reviewer here who understands and appreciates instant-publishing means learning exactly who is available & when as apposed to sifting through reviews & calendars daily
- Relatively new and confused as to the best way to proceed
- Unable to access adult entertainment or media during the course of the business day with work-issued or networked machines/laptops/PDAs.  Craigslist passes their filters

There will always be advocates against Craigslist here on TER who are seemingly personally invested in discouraging "upscale" escorts & hobbyists from utilizing the site.
On the other hand, search new reviews daily and learn what many escorts are learning: clients do secure successful appointments from Craigslist and as an advertiser some of us weigh the "stigma" and viability of the medium and find it pragmatic to place current advertisements there as well.

Verification is required across the board for myself which has kept me in my element and occupied with the sort of client which I seek and am accustomed to.  I'm never in a rush to compromise the standards which I have placed for myself and I think that this is conveyed in the copy that I place on CL.

Last weekend, I saw a guest who I have enjoyed many times since I became apart of the Boston scene; he called at midnight and I was still up, enjoying a glass of wine.
He said he was surprised and happy to see my ad; he was up late grading papers and began perusing CL as a distraction.  I was lucky to enjoy his company that evening, purely by "accident" (or in this case design).
Instant-publish advertisement is invaluable to me personally.
Providing in a fishbowl and being subject to superficial judgements over advertising isn't nearly as important to me as sustaining the quality of my business and actively using all avenues to market to like minded individuals who are looking for what I provide.

I am of course, speaking only for myself but perhaps that will give you a little bit of insight into the thought process of reputable providers who choose to utilize the site.

...I can modify my rate based upon whether I am booked or unbooked or to reflect how I feel about working on any given day.

If my structure isn't featured then it is "as is" on my website.  If a different structure is featured then I am actively hoping to "work" and meet new guests.
Super cool for me and guests seem to appreciate the fluctuation when they find it.

He's a troll who once fortunately had a pretty good thing going mostly via cl (back when it was a fairly safe place to play) but for various reasons got pushed out and hasn't been heard of for about a year I think.

Don't repeat his name again, maybe he'll stay wherever he is.

I can explain who MJ is, (or was since we have not heard from hin a while and he might be gone way). "MJ" was the first "pimp" to get a computer and take his girls off the streets and put them on Craig's list. You always knew who one of MJ's girls was because he used to put them in dumps like the Town Line and the Red Roof. He would posts their ads all day long, so you could also tell by the repeated posts and no screening at all. He liked to call imself "The king of CL" since about 40% of the girls posted on there "belonged" to him. He was also known to extort money from clients and beat his girls if they did not make his quota or if they tried to leave. He was not a very nice guy and most of his girls were messed up on drugs.

Fibes (et al), I know who MJ is - I was talking about all the guys that haven't been around the hobby for that long and might (just maybe) not have ever heard of him.

And yes, aout 99.99999% of any stories you ever hear about him are indeed true!
