There are many good and bad things about C/L.

As with any place you advertise on you will have trash, rip offs, and drugged out workers.

This is where C/L gained its reputation.

I must say that being able to post as many times as you wanted looks like a good thing.

If you were available then and needed fun you could find people that wanted right then.

Not all women who advertise on there are trash. I think making that generalization about all C/L women is like saying all sports stars must be roid' users.

Some women just wanted a under the radar way to reach men who may not be seasoned hobbyists.

Let’s face it there is very little loyalty in this kind of business.

You could do every acronym and all but hang from the lighting fixtures and still not gain repeat business with a man who has truly made this his hobby.

On C/L there were a lot more men who were novices just looking for a women or two to see.

On the down side there were a lot of time wasters and men who did not want to be verified.

The loss of C/L erotic section is a mixed bag.

How it will shape our profession is yet to be seen.

For now I am left wondering where to advertise that you can advertise whenever you want.

On here you have to be reviewed and have all kinds of do dad’s on your site to be able to post an ad right?

I have a site but its basic.

Your are correct, CL magnified the good, the bad and the ugly side of the escorting/hobbyist mating dance. Probably not a bad thing that the "eeotic services" has been shut down

I'm a veteran hobbyist, and I found myself trolling CL less and less as time went on.

To your point, there are plenty of venues left to communicate your availability and services.

About your "basic" site. Hobbyists are looking for rates and availability. Once you've met a compatable client, you should urge him to use your site as you way of communicating when you are working.

Keep your schedule updated, allow them (your trusted clients) to communicate with you and make scheduling easy and convenient. (I don't mean be available "on demand"; publish a set of dates, a general location and the hours you'll be entertaining visitors.)

I have a whitelist of about 5 women and one agency that I frequent exclusively, I rarely use the "ad venues", except to check when some of my Fav's may be touring....

Good luck! We should meet

I would be happy to give you a full and honest answer, but why the anonymous posting?

Actually being able to post as many times as you want has been a big part of the problem for quite a while. A legit provider knows that a legit customer will scroll down and check ads other than the first two or three.  The best luck I have had on CL has always involved calling a lady who posted ONCE or maybe twice that day and has a good website and or TER reviews.  I pretty much ignore the girls, and their pimps, who post every fifteen minutes so that they will be at the top of the page all the time.

Laziness, stupidity and greed are what cause the problems on CL.  It's not the venue, it's a segment of the players who screwed it up.

The best thing about CL is that it kept LE busy and away from the more upscale providers, meaning if you were reputable, you were pretty much safe. I hope LE doesn't have time on their hands now.

Thank you to those who responded.

There have been many good points raised by ladies and gents alike.

The whole C/L killer thing drew so much negative attention.

The business was pretty peaceful for us and the hobby was fun for the gents.

CNN, CNBC, Dateline, and the like have certainly shaken things up.

Now you have more attention.

Some good attention that being new men who never otherwise knew about us calling.

We got some bad p/r because the LE no longer can turn a blind eye.

What is in store?

I wish I knew.

This business is tumultuous enough having no job security.

The faltering economy affecting all our pockets makes it even tougher.

Now you have this C/L case bring all kind of public scrutiny.

Be careful and play safe.
