At first I expected the story to be about a clumsy dancer accidentally kicking a patron.  I've never been a dancer but I imagine I'd be the one who would do that!  :p

I'm glad he won the settlement.  If I'm understanding the story correctly, he wasn't the one who slapped her violently but was the one who suffered from her self-defense reaction.  Ouch.

And good for her for defending herself.  Nobody should be touched without permission regardless of the environment.  I'm just sorry to read about the extent of "eye socket and facial bone damage."  *cringe*
