Why is it that most visiting providers seemed to have increased their rates to >$300/hour?

I'm just curious, are you guys regularly spending this?  I rarely go over $300 just cause of economy and the fact that there are MANY ladies well under the $300 in the area who are wonderful.

Seems to me that $400 is the asking rate, which I feel is steep.

For the record, I usually visit ladies 2-3x month so I'm no lurker...

Just hoping for honest feedback.

Plenty available to satisfy me for 300, but I will go over if the pics or reviews have a special appeal to me.

Most ladies do their research to see generally the going rate in that area for who they are.  Many different factors come into play with that. Ex. I do offer greek but many ladies might not...I am all natural some may not..Just all different ladies to chose from.

However, ratings do have a factor but not much. I do feel blessed to have great numbers but most important are the writings in the reviews mean more to me.  When I decided to come to Boston of course I did my research on the girls. However, I also searched the areas, hotels, airfare, etc.  Trust me it is expensive and I need to make sure I will be covered.  It it just common sense to make sure that all my travel expenses are covered and hopefully then some.

Some ladies, myself included, offer a prebooking special too. I am offering a $ discount versus more time.  In this economy I think that is the best way to help out the gentleman while both of us have the time of our life.  Btw, with this discount that puts me right where you like!!!

Makenzie Rae is right about traveling ladies, they have a lot of bill to cover, and let's face it things are not cheap these days.

When it comes to rates, it's very simple, the ladies will charge what they think they can get per hour.

The guys will pay what they want to pay.

If the two don't work, someone is going to have to change. It all a matter who is going to give in first.

Rates and reviews are all subject to personal preference, I read a review on a porn star, and it wasn't very good.
The reviewer said she was very scripted and mechanical. Now this lady charges 1,600 an hour.

So there you go.

The economy is tough yet oil is a hot commodity.  Wild speculation is driving prices high and without oil, nothing moves.  High cost of transport and a scarcity of appropriate moderate accommodation in the major and secondary cities.   just my two cents.

I want more drop dead gorgeous college students working this business. The childless, gorgeous, educated young women that I prefer command top rates. It is not worth their time to work for the $200-300 rates, they simply don't appear to be excited for such rates. I am willing to pay $400-$1000 per hour for a young women that has a gorgeous face, is in shape, is educated and who performs well in bedroom. Such young women get the money that they want to chase their dreams, I get memories that last a lifetime. Sadly, there are precious few of the type that I relish working in the industry. The consequence for me is that as I have grown older, I find myself using fewer escorts because I can't find the top 10% in beauty and physique type that excites me and keep me making appointments for encounters.

now I happen to be one of the gals that upped her rate due to travel..
Out in the nice areas of boston I pay 300 a night for a nice hotel...
50 for valet..meals ( Breakfast Lunch & Dinner/ .. gas.. . roundtrip flight..warm clothing lol
I end up spending 500 a day at least...only when I have to travel far from home that is..
my asking gift is definetly high for some people..but its also good for me because I dont need to see several people like as I would if I was doing 200 hr and trying to see 3 gentleman just to feel your making up for all expensis comfortably.

I would never be mad if someone asked me for a special as long as its not  a drastic drop..

Hobbyists that are willing to pay more for certain women must be decerning when dealing with agencies and independents. Beauty varies my person, a provider I see as beautiful, another hobbyist may not rate as highly. If a provider is not in the high dollar range for me, I visit her just once. Providers that have the looks and performance for high dollars from me can count on my repeat business.

250 for CIM/spit will give you a fully booked schedule in Boston.
Extra  100 for greek is std.

I find it much more lucrative NOT traveling given the cost/overhead of traveling has increased yet "the going rate" has decreased. The time involved traveling is lost money as well....in the end, everyone sets their limits financially. Budgeting yourself out of the Providers price point is your problem.....stop crying about a decision you made. Blaming others is selfish!
The time, hassle and expense of traveling/touring isn't worth it.
When rates are higher in ALABAMA and overhead is lower  vs say Boston where rates are lower and overhead is higher it is an easy decision to make.

and did not do your homework on 4 star hotel rates, especially at this time of year in this area.

Im not sure even 5 star rates are that high in the suburbs, will check later.

however at this time I am staying where I am at $wise.  Maybe some other time I will drop however I will not cover my expenses at that. The time frame I am desiring to come up there is expensive and I will not stay in a 1 star hotel (which is too risky these days). I don't need to be watched.

What do you mean "std"?  A service of that nature always requires more preparation and therefore there is an extra fee.  I know you didn't mean std but stupid instead. However, using protection is always mandatory with me. Just to clarify.

Is Price Right? threads come up amazingly often on hobby boards.  I am not sure any other industry has as many threads dedicated to pricing as ours.

Each NEW provider has certain criterias when she sets her pricing

Two major factors are her market and her desired volume.

If she sets her pricing above what market place is willing to support, she would eventually lower it.  if her volume exceeds what she finds to be desirable - she will raise it.

Once a provider is well known and established, she is usually pretty much aware what does and does not work for her.

Lets say I was not involved with other business endeavors and were interested in seeing 1 - 3 patrons for an hourly date a day vs 1 - 2 patrons for extended engagements a week (which happens to be my current preference).  I would simply lower my 1h rate and raise my multi hour rate.

It all comes down to who, when and how often a lady is interested in enterntaining.  Unfortunately oftern people on both sides of this transaction confuse someone's self worth and their rate.

Again, thanks.  I had a feeling this would bring out mature, intelligent discussion and this board never disappoints.  What I have discerned from this:

1)  Travelling is an expense and the ladies must recoup.  Agreed and understood.  However, if you shop around the "travel sites" like travelocity, etc, there ARE bargains.  Many of my travel tips are gleaned from the travelling ladies!

2)  Seeing 1 vs. more than one hobbyist.  This is a personal decision but will certainly decrease your profit margin, thus needing a higher rate...understood.

3)  Pre-book.  Great idea and I'm hoping many ladies DO continue to offer this.  $250 pre-booked should easily cover the hotel for that day.  I would make sure the person who pre-books with you is reliable.  Most of us "regulars" tend to be very reliable, but some bums DO skip out for other lower-cost providers, i'm told.

4)  Value of provider.  Well, that's a can of worms that can only come down to preference.  For example, some of us "over 40" guys DO have a "type"  I personally love the glamourous look.  Makeup, heels, lingerie, etc.  Fortunately for me, there are many lovely area providers and the traveling girls typically are glamourous, so it's all good for me.  I'm not concerned about size, hair color, ethnicity, etc. but I DO need to meet with someone laid back and cool.  Again, most of the ladies I've me are all that!  I have found that many ladies within my price range are more fun than the higher priced ladies.

Ultimately, it comes down to supply and demand and personal preference.  Good luck to the higher priced gals...hopefully, you will have continued success!
