Had an appointment with a visiting provider with sterling references that I set up on Tuesday. I called today to confirm and then later in the day to see if we could postpone until later in the evening because of the weather. She agreed. I called when I was on my way to tell her I was on my way. Didn't get an answer. I called again to tell her I was going to be late. Didn't get an anwser. This was in Waltham. I was coming from Boston. I ended up arriving 37 minutes after the agreed upon time. Still, no answer. In the end (that is, from the time we made the appointment for later in the evening) all I received was a text message (received at midnight) saying "sorry honey, all my clients cancelled and I fell asleep." I'll make it up to you next time, yaddda, yadda, yadda. I never would have gone to all this trouble had it not been for the glowing things people were saying about her in a particular thread. The point is I didn't expect to be treated that way.

I doubt it was intentional, the fact of the matter is that the storm was pretty bad and I bet most if not all of her clients did cancel. I would also bet that she did fall a sleep. While being a provider means spending a lot of time on their back - they don't get a lot of rest there :P

I understand your frustration giving the storm and driving hell you must have gone through and I am not  excusing the fact that she didn't answer her phone or that you didn't see her. You should contact her and see what kind of arrangement can be made (e.g. make it up to you) - don't go looking for a freebie though.

I've been at this a little while and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Providers do fall asleep in their rooms quite often and cell phones are often on vibrate for discretion.
The weather was horrible and a lot of unfortunate circumstances caused you to miss a date and a lady to lose out on quite a bit of income. Honestly, I don't think it's something to be complaining about here.
She did text you and apologize. A less honorable lady wouldn't have.

I would guess that what BG said happened exactly that way.  I have found Robin to be very trustworthy , ethical and honest.  She had a very tiring trip and somewhat disappointing as well.  Someone else would have not even responded to you.  Reschedule her next time and you will see she is a real treat!

Cheer up.  It happened to me with Megan from years back, and I got free Greek the next time.  She said she would make it up to you.  Give her a chance.

i wasn't going to post but now i have to explain... first of all this guy is a freak! second i want everyone to know i didn't just disapear and not answer the phone. This man had an appoinment at 3 p.m called and re-scheduled to 5 p.m then called again and rescheduled to 9 p.m, i was understanding because of the weather and everyone had canceled on that day. At 9 he called and said would be there soon was stuck at the toll- no problem, then called again at 9:45 that is when i didn't answer anymore. Yes i should have picked up the phone but by this point was already upset with the whole situation and after hearing his message and said was going to be late AGAIN and i had been waiting all day and had enough! He kept calling-23 times up until midnight. He could have left after the first 3 times he called and i didn't return the call. What a fool!

Hope we can get together again real soon!
