If you come to Boston for an appointment, whether it's to meet someone, get a haircut, see your dentist, or whatever, you should probably plan to use one of the many garages. If you are on no particular schedule, shopping or something, cruise around looking for a metered space if you want to. Last time I found a free, legal space was before the Big Dig.
Sounds too good to be true? Guess it is! Gave me the address to a residence near the Prudential building. We agreed on a time. I ask if there's parking, to which she replies, "yes."
I get there to find an upscale neighborhood with trendy restaurants and shops, brownstone appartment buildings . . . and absolutely NO parking. She calls me and proceeds to jabber on in an almost unintelligible accent through a bad phone connection. I tell her to be patient and I'll find parking. Finally, after about a half hour of driving around I decide to park in a "spot" in back of one of the brown stones which is big enough to place my car and doesn't have a no parking signs in front of it. Thank god for four wheel drive or this "spot" wouldn't be a spot. I walk up to the building, she tells me to buzz her appt. I buzz her appt. Door doesn't open. I buzz again. And again. And again. Then she calls and yells at me and says to stop buzzing her - that she already opened the door to let me in and now her neighbors are yelling at her. The door remains locked.
NOTE TO SELF: never try to see a provider who's incall is a residence in downtown Boston again.
this actually makes you look like a dick. You couldn't find parking so instead of just ponying up and paying, you spend 30 minutes driving around? You are having trouble with the door of what you can tell is a residential building and instead of communicating that you are having an issue you keep doing what doesn't work...and then you come here to complain about it and have the audacity to name the person involved?

I agree whole heartedly! I've worked in Boston for the past 20+ years. The last 12 being right in and around Pru Center. There is PLENTY of parking even on busy days/nights.
If you're looking for non-public parking than you're most likely parking in an illegal spot or private spot that residents actually pay for.

To be honest, I am sorry to say but you don't sound like you were well-prepared to meet her. I would do the same as she did, the only difference being I would not have been as patient.
Have to agree with the other commentators on this thread. Marianna is amazing. I've seen her 5 times. She never disappoints. Poor planning, being unwilling to park in a garage, and repeatedly buzzing the door all sound like poorly thought out out strategies. Outing a perfectly great lady here in this way makes you, HankTMan, look like a DoucheTBag.
