I was going to start by saying sorry to the people that have objected to religous and political threads in the past....but...imho....ive stated this thread clearlly in the subject line , if its not your cup of tea...ya SHOULDNT have clicked on it.
   that being said , this is a toungue in cheek post i found in a ng somewhere and thought it was cute.
 most people agreeing to the suggestion by bush jr. to the amendment "usually" quote the morality of the bible....so.....any good religous person who believes the bible should be used to codify the definition of marriages , to the goal being a constitutional amendment,  should also agree and pray it will happen to other biblical references.
 1.  marriage in the u.s.a shall consist of 1 man and 1 or more woman.(gen.:17-28)
 2 marriage shall not impede a mans right to take concubines in addition to his wife.(LONG LIVE TER) (11 sam 5:13 ; 1 kings 11:3)
 3 a marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin, if wife is not she shall be executed.....ouch !!  (duet 22;13-21)
 4 since marriage is for life , no law by state or federal govt. shall be contrived to permit divorce.
 5 if a married man dies w/o children , his brother shall marry the widow , if he refuse , he shall pay a fine of 1 shoe.(gen 38; 6-10 , duet 25 ; 5-10)....my personal fav.
 6 in lieu of marriage , if there are no acceptable men in your town., it is required that you get your dad drunk and have sex with him, even if he offered you as a sex toy to other woman, ..applies to woman only!!(gen 19;31-36)......ummmm....ewwww
