Nice Boston hotels?

Coming into town in a few weeks and am looking for some hotel recommendations for downtown Boston. Ideally high-end and with elevators that don't require key access. Great views also appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Great:
Royal Sonesta Hotel over in Cambridge, just across the bridge. Good access to the T, no keys on the elevators (they have two towers, so different banks of elevators.) and you can completely ignore the front desk.
Marriott Copley
Omni Parker House Hotel - Small rooms, but very nice
Hilton Boston Downtown (on Broad St.) -Huge room, really loved it. A bit of a walk to the nearest T however they do have valet parking.
Westin

Avoid
Le Meridiene in Cambridge. Great Location in terms of shopping and restaurants but the elevators are directly in front of the desk and require keys at all hours.
Waltham hotels have great rates, however they aren't very conveniant. I stayed in the Westin once, and while I loved it, it was a $75 cab fare from downtown.

I don't know about the Waltham hotels but, when traveling, I've taken advantage of airport shuttle vans to the suburbs.  Once again, that's if you travel by air.  If you arrive in downtown Boston by train or other means, I don't think they have shuttles. (Maybe if there's a big convention downtown, you can catch a shuttle back to the suburban hotel ... and make a few friends and appointments on the ride back!)

Does anyone know if any of the west suburban hotels provide shuttle service to/from Logan?

How about the Presidential suite at the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common? Only $6,000 per night.

But seriously, something a little more specific in price range would make it much easier to give suggestions.

Sorry, you're right. 4 or 5 stars, $200-300 a night is fine. Thanks@

Royal Sonesta is nice. There is also a hotel across the street, I forget the name. It is nice as well.
Marriott LongWharf is a fav but I am a Marriott guy. Good views and near Faniel Hall.

that would be the hotel Marlowe its a kimpton brand

Naming specific hotels and their policies on a public board is not in the best interest of the community, IMHO

I understand what you are saying but the OP just asked for some nice hotels.

I am fairly convinced illegal activities are going on in ever fucking one of them in some fashion. LOL

Be careful!

Picking on people with diminished capacities can be seen as bullying.

Thanks for the feedback - I didn't mean to cause any issues. Also, I didn't actually mean to post with the alias, stupid iPad -- however, I did get a PM or two.

Anyway, thanks for the help everyone, I appreciate it.
