I have been thinking of coming to Boston everyone tells me the clients are the nicest. Can anyone suggest good areas to stay and good hotels . I am new at this and could use some suggestions thanks
as it is very easy to get to, and parking garages abound. The hitch is that the 4 star hotel prices are astronomical, but less so after the Christmas season is over. I won't mention any hotel names for obvious reasons, but there are some 3 star hotels in the area that aren't too bad, and could save you a few dollars. The Copley Sq area teems with lots of shopping and attractions for your down time as well.
The second favorite place are hotel out by the airport. They are also convenient and much more economical, but the only past time to occupy your down time is watching planes take off and land. My personal choice are the hotels just west of Boston along the I-95 beltway. Some are very nice, and are affordable, and very convenient especially for guys like myself who come in from the west. By the way, I absolutely adore your handle. Your site is also very nice.
Some girls I saw stayed in one of the hotels in South Bay Mall. Nice rooms, never a parking problem, next to downtown and two major highways Rt. 93 that cuts through Boston and Rt. 90. Not the best neighborhood around the mall but the mall itself is fine.
Other then that Waltham or Woburn along Rt. 128, or Newton. Newton hotels are the best imo, as well as location which is an intersection of Rt. 128 & Rt. 90.
There are several good options (very) near to Faneuil Hall, the tourist epicenter of Boston, and more just a few minutes away in the Downtown Crossing and Theater District areas. Public transportation makes accessing these areas easy for just about anyone, and there are a million parking garages nearby for those who don't work in the city.
Seaport area has several hotel options and is a fun area if you have time to explore that part of Boston. Also, as others have mentioned, the Copley Square area area has several hotel options and has access to zboston activities outside the hotel. Finally, the RT. 128 area outside the city around Natick to Waltham is popular because the hotels are less expensive and the parking is free and they are pretty easy to access. All 3 of those areas are pretty popular.
