Several threads about cancellations and no shows recently. Never had much problem with this in the past few years. Maybe I was spoiled by the services of EC and other local agencies. But this weekend I've had more than my share.
Had planned at least two weeks ago to try and see a top-notch touring girl I have wanted to see for a long time. Sent her an e-mail with my preferred times but she replied that she was not available. I replied asking about alternative times but by the time she answered this late this past week, had already made plans with another local indi.
Convinced this indi girl to come North from the south shore and she did, but she went home overnight and could not make it back in time for a Sat morning appointment with me. Not a serious problem for me since spent the hour waiting in a hotel lounge chair with my laptop checking TER and downloading porn…and taking advantage of the complimentary breakfast.
After waiting a little more than an hour, I called a local agency known for superior service of their girls (but not so good at forecasting their schedules, or keeping their girls to the schedule) to try to get an afternoon appointment with another favorite I have wanted to see for some time. Was told that she was fully booked for the afternoon but she might be able to start an hour early…if I wanted to call back in an hour. I really wanted to see this girl and the proposed appointment would fit perfectly in to my new (now) schedule. So I continued to work/play on my laptop…and noticing that another touring agency DT favorite of mine was coming to Boston.
After waiting the hour, called the local agency and the proposed appointment was not to be. F***, F***, F***!!! Spent the rest of the afternoon at a nearby strip-club, had a few beers, enjoyed the scenery, had dinner there, and called the touring agency to schedule the touring DT specialist for Sunday evening. Everything looks good at this time and I will report back with a full review, not mentioning the names of the other girls in this purely fictional weekend adventure. (But they know who they are.)
I must have had some strange dreams last night, because this morning I was inspired to re-write an old song:

From my strictly amateurish observations, call it customer service or business sense or whatever is a lost concept on a whole lotta providers these days. They are the first to criticize a guy for cancelling, but seem to feel the generally accepted rules of courtesy don't apply to them. My whole outlook on this hobby (and providers) has really changed in the past year. And say what you will about Craigslist, but I've gotten better service and met more sincere people off of CL than off of TER by far.
I read. Then I re-read. Sounds like you got some "no's" rather than "no-shows". Maybe the slower economy causes indecision on both sides of the fence? Good luck tonight!

When an agency girl knows that she has to pay for a room irrespective of whether or not she books its harder to get her to come on during traditionally slow days - like weekends.
Just today I had a call from a man who found me on an instant publishing medium and said:
"I can give you a reference but you can't call because I booked an appointment with this agency but then I realized that you were available so I'm going to cancel and come see you instead."
I refused not because it was such a bullshit move (though it was and left me momentarily aghast) but out of respect for my friend, the service owner AND her girl who is sitting there in that room on her dime trying to justify the cost of the room and the daily payout.
It's hard on both sides and will only get harder as business continues to slow considerably for the majority of hobbyists and providers; exceptions notwithstanding.
Hotels are at rock-bottom prices right now (November until March, independent providers are golden). Expect to see smart providers capitalizing on the possibility for extreme profit margin and holding an incall regardless of the call volume, then hustling hard to book their time.

I was cancelled on 3 times this week, one Gentlemans plane was late, but the other 2 were cold feet from 2 newbies who screened well and all but lost their courage last minute, and last week everyone was running late due to traffic and what not messing up my schedule as well, I have other things on my plate, waiting 2hrs for a Gentleman can screw my whole life up, but I did and he was worth the wait and he compensated me for the time I waited. It happens, shit that is. Very rarely but when it comes I have noticed its like a pile up, all at once. So sorry you were stood up, better luck next time I guess. On the brighter side cause I like to look at the glass as half full...it makes all the other times when it rolls smoothly, sooo much sweeter!

It certainly IS a two way street. I wrote about guys who need to feel desired and in demand by women in a post about self importance a few days ago. Sure enough I had another one this weekend who wasted my time and money. (I could have used that money to purchase more for the family I am sponsoring this holiday season)
Saw this professional guy once about a month ago, and he suddenly pops up starting Friday with endless e-mails and calls wanting to see me last minute when I already had plans for Friday and Saturday night. The whiney tone of his requests got the best of me, so late Saturday night I check into a nice hotel for 2 days so that I can accommodate him for his proposed Sunday appointment, be it morning, afternoon or evening. He writes me Sunday morning to tell me what times work best for him-and I am able to meet 2 of the three proposed times around a family event I have to attend. Then I never hear from him again! Not even a sorry, something came up. I am ticked off because I didn't even like the guy, but since he was so patronizing with his verbal accolades for me I figured I'd be nice. He is divorced and since many people get lonely this time of year, I was planning to make the appointment extra special in the spirit of the holidays. I am especially peeved because I rearranged my personal life and turned down other opportunities for this mature dork-never mind the expense of the two days for the hotel that was never used. So, when this guy resurfices (he will due to the quality of my encounters), I will see him if I have time-as long as he arranges the room!
I am finding more gents, particularly those I have met once playing games. I swear these guys need to feel wanted and are probably doing this to other women as well. Sad but true.
Men need to realize many of us work, go to school, tend to families (some have young children) and have chores to get done the same as they do.
I receive calls several times a day from guys who think I am hanging out at a hotel just waiting for them to come over! Of course sans verification. Evidently they do not get my "business model" which is low volume and geared towards providing a tailored visit for their individual needs.
You are right Nicole, it all works out and makes the good times sweeter. You have to chalk it up to overhead and enjoy the nice gentlemen we meet as they outshine the turkeys.
A former regular client who had moved away came into town last night and rocked my world. I spoiled him rotten (with special treats as well), and we ended up having a great evening. He loves his new vibrating cock ring-maybe we are going steady now? LOL 
I wish there were a way for us ladies to collaborate about the guys who call to "chat”, make an appointment and then cancel/no show on a regular basis. I'm not talking about medical professionals or people with family who are walking on egg shells because their lives can change in a minute. I am talking about the flakes out there, not the gents with legit excuses.
Sorry for your experience DT, but I had to comment on what it is like on the other end of the spectrum. Some of us are very sincere and are treated like our time is not valued-and I am sure agencies and other independent women share the same experiences.
Perhaps these types of discussions will make both the ladies and gents think about common courtesy. Let's all think about mutual respect.

No hard feelings toward the other girls, and I plan to see them again some other time. Nobody's "fault" realy, just bad luck.
When I tried to see Breanna back in March, I had to cancel due to terrible traffic into Boston on 93S in an unusualy bad morning rush hour.
Now for a quick stop at another strip-club on my way home for a nightcap before bed. Will post a full review soon.

Can't tell you how many times in the last 2 years I have been canceled or asked to reschedule...
Almost all by agency's... They act like it is no big deal when I had to rearrange my schedule to make the appointment in advance...
Most recently had a booking and asked if I could change it to another day if they thought the girl would no doubt be in. They said they were sure she would be...
So I changed it, the day of the appointment they email me to tell me they are canceling because she changed her mind about working that day...
I asked to reschedule and they said she would not be available until December... What kind of customer service is that???
I changed my whole schedule to make an appointment, the least they could do is keep it...
If I did that for work I would have no customers...
When and if she is back I will ask to be compensated for canceling on me, otherwise they will not be getting my business anymore...
I don't care how good their girls are, there are plenty of others just as good...
With the economy the way it is there is no reason to stand for that kind of shabby treatment....Guys vote with your money and walk....
First day for visitng indies and agency girls have a higher probability of cancellations for a variety of reasons. Even higher rate of cancellations for the first appointmentin the morning. The rooms not ready yet etc.

I agree its just not right. I have never worked for an agency so I am just guessing here, it must be really difficult to guarantee some of the ladies. They may be working under the umbrella of an agency but for the most part, they seem to come and go on a whim. They choose to work or not. I would guess the key here would be in the agecys ability to choose ladies who are more responsable and even then it does not always work out for the best. Read the reviews of the ladies who work for the agency you are interested in. See if they are on time, ready, not scattered. This may tell you about her personality and maybe her ability to flake at times. But what do I know...I am just winging it here with this.

Cancellations happen, its the nature of this business. Common courtesy is to give at least a 24 hr notice, if you can. (I've had newbies contact me, send screening information, set up an appointment and then cancel last minute or pull a no show.) 
As an independent, I do not sit around all day in a hotel. I have a day job, so I am only available in the afternoon/evening/weekends, check in is at 3pm.
I book the hotel room same day, according to how many appointments I have. I try to limit myself to two/three appointments a day. I am usually available 3 days a week.
I will be extending my special rate through the winter with the exception that I will only be available for incall, not outcall....at that rate.
If you call last minute, chances are I will be booked for that day, unless someone cancels.
I usually do not stay overnight, unless an overnight appointment is requested. (I like my big, soft, pillowtop bed at home! )
