I was looking at new reviews and noticed that a new profile for Amelie LaRose has popped up that doesn't include her past reviews including the negative one about her skipping out and not returning the deposit.   Clearly the same provider.  Hopefully TER will merge the two :

I saw this review pop up:
https://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/detail/amelie-larose-review-by-yaamez-2301316

which struck home with me after remembering that I had corresponded with this same provider at the beginning of the year.   At  the time she was planning to visit Boston, but only had one review and wanted a significant deposit which made me wary.   I tried reaching out to her previous reviewer but didn't hear back so I decided not to proceed.  Apparently that was the right call, as this new review describes what could have gone wrong.

Best to simply avoid deposits.  You may have to miss a few girls, but you will miss all the scams.

There were other warning signs for this girl.  She only had one prior review, and that one reviewer did not have a significant review history.

I only see well reviewed girls, or those that have de-listed after establishing a good reputation.  There are more and more scams arising as the number of unreviewed girls increases.

Rene Liz is a very high end escort at way above average donation.  I have seen her a number of times, and each was really special.  I was going to be in NE last weekend and booked her for a hotel near the airport in Hartford.  Communication was excellent through her “assistant” Nikky.  Confirmed the time and date in an email a couple of days before the appointment.  Had previously asked for a 50% deposit up front to which I said no as I had seen her before.  Nikky was ok with that, so we proceeded.  The confirmation email said the price would be $300 more than what was listed in Preferred 411 and I called that out to her.  She said that this was the published price and if I wanted to cancel, she understood.  I then went back on P411 and rechecked the donation which was as I had questioned $300 cheaper and let her know.  She wrote back that she would reduce the donation by $200 as an outcall fee.  Nowhere by the way is there any mention of an outcall fee.  I said let’s split the difference as I still would have liked to see her.  She said no that the $50 would have had a negative effect on Rene’s attitude.  I then said that this whole episode had been a clear mistake and cancelled.  Talk about GPS and arrogance, not any further intention of trying to book her ever again.  I can only imagine if I had agreed to the deposit.

Yeah...but hold on now. OP is spreading the word of a potential grift where hobbyists are getting ripped off for their deposits. If you've seen Rene before, you know that's not the case here. I've seen Rene many times, and she's top notch. She's also catering to some specific niches.

I can sympathize with you on a couple points. Her rates have increased, sometimes don't line up across ads/sites, and the deposit is more about securing the hotel rather than vetting a new client, so it's still expected from repeat clients. Maybe she's been burned by pre-bookings that cancel when she gets to town and swipes a credit card for 3 nights? Who knows? All of these things have not caused an issue with me booking. I do not judge, and these things may bother others, and that's fine. My recommendation would be to not see that provider. Nicely pointing out the difference will hopefully get the discrepancy resolved and avoid that with other people, but obviously you got the vibe that you were going to have to pay a little more than you thought. It sounds like it came down to $100 over her p411 and you pushed back again over $50? Did you check in all spots and verify what her website has posted for rates?

We're in a tricky hobby here, and my sense has always been that haggling isn't the way to go. Even if you "win" the negotiation, you're going to get treated differently by the provider because you haggled--that's just human nature. This isn't a yard sale item where we quickly part ways. You're going to spend an hour or more with this woman hoping for as intimate of an encounter as possible. If you don't like the price, don't book the lady. Either the market will correct and her rates will come down, or her services will demand higher prices, causing you to rethink your tastes or your budget.

I'm just writing this for those of you that may have been on the fence about Rene, saw this thread, but aren't necessarily concerned with providing a deposit. The response to his comment: "I can only imagine if I had agreed to the deposit" is: you would have had a great time, in my opinion. Stay safe, lads and lassies!

Thanks I appreciate your thoughts.  I have seen her before  and she is a very good and beautiful provider.  I balked because the rate quoted was not $100 over her P411 published rate, which has now been updated, it was $300 over that rate and I felt that her booker was trying to take advantage of me and I did not appreciate that.  Plain and simple.

That's life.

I have sent out deposits, usually for gals who I needed to coax to Boston, and for the most part, things worked out well.

For the handful of times that they didn't, that I wrote off as the cost of doing business.

On another matter, I note that the review the OP posted didn't meet the usual TER criteria of there having to have been an actual meeting in order to get published.   Have the rules loosened up to allow a review when it is a clear rip off situation?

No, the rules haven't changed. I tried submitting a review for the same provider based on my experience of backing out when she changed the PAYMENT METHOD she'd allow for making a deposit, and they rejected it because I (wisely) never saw her.  My strong suspicion is that there wouldn't have been anyone there had I showed up for a date.

I have been exploring a number of reviews of late preparatory to a trip I am making later this summer, and came across two other examples of reviews where there was no meeting, but the review went up.

In both cases, the reviewer sent in a deposit, and the escort vanished.

I do recall at one time talk of allowing such reviews to expose blatant rip off tactics like this.    Perhaps in your case, assuming no cash ever changed hands (?) you did not meet that criterion.

I never have sent a deposit and never will.  Do not trust who ask for one.

Little story recently, have seen Holly Hendrix, the porn star in the past, had some great fun with her

Recently she is sending out messages asking if anyone wants to buy photos/videos.  This has never happened in the years
I have seen her.  Also wanted to see her and she asked for a deposit.

Seems she may be hurting for cash.  Be careful
