In a hotel room, I find that what works best is to keep the entry light on, and maybe the bathroom light, but all other lights off. It makes for a nice glow in the room once my eyes are acclimated.
Of course during the day, you can just keep the drapes closed all but a few inches and that works well.
Some people keep the TV screen on, but I find it distracting.
Then lighting tea light candles throughout the room gives a nice glow, but be sure they aren't anywhere near the bed for safety's sake.
One gal I saw had those LED X-mass lights that she draped over the head board. That was a nice touch.
yesterday saw provider from BP(I know). Yet was late night appearance 6 services 8. She wanted lights off said it made it more intimate. Amazing, she was right, will submit review yet not sure of the correlation yet did last longer(if you know what I mean)
