Boston

I've also seen some who charge less...

Yeah, yeah, she can charge whatever she wants.
Blah, blah because she can.

Many ladies have a consistent rate on their website and tour without changing their rate.
Obviously some areas of Boston have higher expenses.

Does her charging a higher rate in Boston vs. other areas prevent you from seeing her?

Your thoughts if any?

Obsessive personality onto the local hobby scene. Repeatedly bouncing against each provider encountered,  either professing his love and adoration or his scorn and ridicule,  until rolling on downhill to the next one.

The kind of mental energy required to deal with a hobby child like that calls for a premium to be added.

So,  dripping with the same kind of sarcasm you typically employ: thank you ever so much for your unique contribution to our local hobby.

For starters - drop the passive/aggressive behavior.  If you have an issue with a touring provider then at least use a name - not "she" or "her." I seriously doubt it will lessen your chance of meeting the lady since it seems you cannot afford her rates to begin with. Maybe "she" is raising her rates to cull the herd.....and I am guessing you feel you have been culled!

Those are my thoughts - a few of many!

Some touring girls from NYC or the west coast actually charge less when they come to Boston. In any event, you said it yourself.  She can charge what she wants and you can book or not.

I pretty much stick to a $300 an hour limit.  There is simply no reason to pay more.  I have two long-time regs who have me grandfathered at that rate or less and I have no trouble finding the occasional "variety girl" for the same rate.  I have nothing against any girl charging $350, $400 or more but I won't be seeing them.  So yes, visitor or local, a rate beyond my limit would stop me from seeing her.

Good Post

Not sure why, but it makes me look for another when I see the rate hike.

Oh well. Like you I have a hobby limit as well. Good Plan.

While I can understand the reasons for rate variances, it it no less a bummer to see that a lady has breached my hobby limit when she is in my area.  Not that it's her problem in any way. Sometimes (only once so far) it encourages me to save up a special fund for when she returns.  Imagine my disappointment when she informed me she later wouldn't be touring Boston again for the foreseeable future.
On the other hand, there are so many local ladies in my favorites that I have yet to meet, I usually just shrug it off and move on.
I'm on board with you on this Esc.

Sometimes I'll think "hmmmmm I wonder if I can find a reason to visit [insert random city here]  so I can see her at her regular rate?"  Which is kind of dumb with the added travel expense.  Unlesssss, I can ride the bike there. Then it's game on.

I just booked a flight to NY from San Diego, then from NY to Atlanta for my Dom Con in October.  When I went to book a hotel room in Times Square I decided to go someplace else this time.  I do want to see NY, but the only decent rooms are well over 300/night.

That's why I'm on the Boston Boards now.  After a quick look at Houston, I'm now considering Boston, strongly.  I've never heard of Boston having extremely expensive hotels.  I'm going to check it out.
