are you looking for stuffed baked steamed accompanied by steamers pasta chowder great wine selection, micro brews, ...its endless. If you are looking for steamed lobster steamers and so on, Boston is not where I go for that although I have had many dinners in the city where the lobster was amazing. I live on the S Shore so right here at home is where I have had some of te best. Some of te small lil clam shacks have te best fried clams nothin fancy but tasty for sure. Sorry I cant help you more than than.
Well why would you want a Maine Lobster when you can get a Massachusetts Lobster they come out of the same Atlantic Ocean, lol!! Our lobster is just as good, it's just a marketing ploy by the state of Maine to say their lobster is the best. Your best bet is either go south maybe to Plymouth, go to the East Bay Grille in downtown Plymouth right on the water and you can get what you're looking for. Or go north to the seacoast, I'm not familiar with the restrurants there maybe another hobbiest can chime in hear but you can't go wrong either way sexy!!
These 2 places above will serve the lobster may ways.
http://www.jameshooklobster.com/ Now this is the down and dirty place to go, right next to the Intercontinental Hotel, you buy your lobster and go outside and sit at a picnic table and eat it.
One side note, if you are out all night and get the munchies, go back to Splash, and right on the corner is the South Street Diner, a true diner, with hot goth girls and all the club people go there. Might find out were there this a good after hours dance club
Generous, thank you girl...I like broiled and grilled, sometimes steamed...lobster or Dungeness Crab...getting a pretty good idea...maybe should even make a trip to Maine sometime...just for the lobster...lol
Another place not mentioned yet is the Summer Shack. The Jasper's pan roasted lobster was the most unique and delicious lobster dish I have ever had. Instead of plain drawn butter, the pan juices of bourbon, butter, chervil and chives are what you dip the sweet lobster meat in. You'll want to mop up the leftover pan juices with the cornbread. There are several locations in Boston and the suburbs.

If you want authentic MAINE Lobster....it's only 1 to 1.5 hours North by car.
York Harbor Inn, York ME. (Fine Dinning) Warrens Lobster House Kittery ME. (Classic Maine Lobster house) The Old Ferry Landing, Portsmouth NH (you can see Maine accross the river) The Oar House Downtown Portsmouth NH BG's Boat House Portsmouth Saunders on Rye Harbor Newicks (another Classic on Dover Point NH)
I prefer downtown Portsmouth NH. You can walk to any of 30 or so Good/High quality restaurants all at a reasonable price. Many overlook the River and some offer outdoor decks.
