Did I miss the memo?

What's going with the edit button? It no longer exists. I think it's a crappy idea if the point is to not allow us to edit our posts. Not just for typing errors but also when we change our scheduling, ect.
I don't see how it's truly helpful to not be able to edit, especially as a provider/hobbyist. I know things change with me all the time. Now I have to post it under my ad post in order to make a change? All it's going to do is clutter the board with over extended ad posting.
I don't think any of us want that.
What does everyone else think?
