Danielle made a mistake.  It seems to me that invoking the death penalty is a bit extreme.

Who among us takes unfair criticism without fighting back?  When a provider learns of an unfair, or even fictitious review that has been posted, she should have an opportunity to reply.  However, when a provider responds to a negative review, it is almost always the start of an unnecessary and tedious flame war.

If Danielle did post a self review, that was wrong, and TER's policy seems unambiguous.  But, Danielle is not the first, nor I'm afraid the last, to have reviews posted that boost her profile.  

I have seen at least 2 providers who have told me privately that one of the best regarded Florida agencies posts reviews to promote their providers before a trip to Boston.  In at least one case, the posted profile indicated one level of service was available, where the provider told me, quite clearly, that it is never available.  

Now, others doing wrong is never an excuse, but the function of this board is to exchange information.  Right now, it is clear that what Danielle has done is widely known.  Removing her profile and the published reviews deprives the membership of information.  

I have seen Danielle, but did not post a review because I thought anything I could say would not add anything to the public information about her, and only increase the large number of favorable reviews that had been posted..  All I could say would be repetitive, at least.

Howver, I recommend her, without reservation, and include a post to her page so those of you who are interested can find her.

HERE HERE!!! Danielle is a sweetheart!!! The punishment is a bunch of bunk.  Put her back, PLEASE.  She is truly a class act.

I have to agree with the many people that have commented on Danielle over the last few days. I hope that the overwhelming support that she is receiving will allow her to once again be active on this board.  She messed up and has been humbled. I have been fortunate enough to have personally spent time with this woman and I believe she is sincere and honest in admitting her mistake.

More importantly, it is blatantly obvious that she is one of the most popular providers in town.  Her reviews are numerous and positive. Her reputation speaks for itself. She deserves a break.

Rules are in place for good reason, which is to preserve the integrity of the board.  Self posts occur on all boards and are usually not very subtle. As a matter of fact, many hobbyists are adept at recognizing such posts, especially when you get an inexperienced individual (new providers) or obvious scam artist appear on the scene, trying to make a quick buck.  She admitted to ONE self post, but there are pages of posts that she had no control over, and they all back her up ( no pun intended).  

We all know that Danielle is not a scam artist, or someone that has to boost their reputation.  She was trying to protect a reputation that she worked hard to build. This is her livelihood and she takes it seriously.  She is not out to scam anyone.  This whole episode is proof of how passionate of a woman she really is.

I think she learned her lesson and hope that the good people at TER will end her "time out" asap. I am sure that all of her loyal fans will be more than willing to spank her for you!
