If I'm not misunderstanding your response to Octavia then you had four appointments that became NCNS in a two week span?!?  

"Lots" of Indies are not dependable as well ... It happens ..I have had more cancellation from Indy girls then from agencies.. Not a smash on Indy girls so calm down cowboy...

  I hired 2 girls from an agency to join me and THEY/AGENCY BOTH CANCELED ON ME 15 MINUTES PRIOR!

on the contrary, Olivia more than showed up after a bout with food poisoning and no sleep for two nights .... have your references handy and you'll be happy you did ....

when I first decided to see more Indys, I had a stretch where I felt exactly the same. On lady probably cancelled three time alone before I met her and that was after a no show because of last year's blizzard. Like the trooper I am, I went into Boston at 10 pm ... and found parking in front of the hotel. With 6 feet of snow everywhere else. Needless to say, I was treated wonderfully. Got laid too!

I have found the higher the donation, the more reliable and professional.

Or she had a call from a known client for a multi hour large $$ donation- it's happened to me, but I didn't hold it against the provider- it's a business- if I was in her shoes, I would have done the same thing-  
When you are a first time client for an Indy, and particularly a popular one with a large established clientele, it can be had to break in if your scheduling an hour long 1st appointment- don't give up, maybe set your sights a little lower for gals who might really need the business- tip offs can be 1) regular ads here and on other boards also
