Hi Boston,
I am coming for a visit in November and would like some local insight on fun things to do. Last time I was there I wanted to go on a ghost tour but had no one to go with. So this time I am looking to do a pub tour. What are your favorite one's and what part of town are they in?

Also any suggestions on a good safe, centrally located part of town I should stay in is much appreciated.
I was thinking Back Bay Area.

Xoxoxo
Alyssa

Daisy Buchanons on 240 Newbury street wins that dubious award annually. When I was younger it was a great bar to hang in. For more upscale if you get bored Abe and Louis' and capital grille have great bar atmosphere and both are within walking distance from Daisy's

I recommend that you drink from the bottle, rather than accept a glass.

Thus, do not request one of the beers on tap.  You won't recognize it anyway.

Its not for everyone, but it is the original Boston Sport's Bar.

(It good for Celtic games also, but, sadly, it appears that there will not be any this season)
