When I think of booking my hotels do I want the heart of Boston or the burbs? Which is easiest for the majority?

The burbs works better for me.  Parking in this town is horrid!  Boston has a lot to offer but parking isn't one of them.

First, welcome back lady...good to have you around again!

It was much easier for me when I didn't live here, I would just post ahead of time when and where I was going to be.  It seems it was easier to post ahead and pick an area, basically like throwing a dart and seeing where it lands.

Now, on any given day I get calls for virtually every area in and around Boston...not to mention NH, Hartford, Portland, etc.  I've considered picking an area and just sticking to being there a couple times/week.  Everytime I think it's a good idea, I change my mind.  My best guess is Metro West...my idea of Metro West includes Newton, Waltham, Burlington, Lexington, and Framingham.

I have found in Boston there isn't a right or wrong place to be.  If you're in Burlington, some guys in Newton/Waltham think you're too far away.  Guys in the Tewskbury/Andover area won't drive to Burlington.  Some refuse to drive into the city and others won't see you outside of the city.  As I plan my trips outside of New England this summer I'm actually throwing ideas around about how/if to work Boston.

To cover the cost of a hotel IN Boston ha ha...well my first date back is next wednesday aka HUMP DAY...ill be in a "burb" ...room wasn't short $ there either...but hopefully far less hassle than the city....thanks for the input xo

In the city.  Can swing by after work.  Public transportation.  So many reasons to be in the city.

If you must do the burbs, I'd suggest near the I-90 and I-95 intersection in Newton.  Convenient for a lot of people.

However I did get a few who lived closer to Tewkskury that did drive to Burlington.

.....I could do in downtown Boston sure but lol my rate would need to um *coughs* adjust to the higher cost of a back bay/copley sq./financial district etc incall.

I work downtown-can only visit providers in the city

I'm in this boat, too, just for the pure convenience.  I can drive out to Waltham or Andover, but it's a nightmare and makes it difficult for a 'long lunch'.  

Using Google Hotels or Priceline, you can pretty consistently find a 3-star for $150-200 / night that's in-town... but that's just kinda high compared to outside 128

I'm newish and I was thinking that area may be a good one if I ever want to do incalls (which is a goal of mine). I feel like any spot that is accessible by major travel routes would be preferable. Where 95/93 meet up, where 3/495 meet up and so on. I may have spent a silly amount of time mapping out locations...

Tewksbury is my fav. Many nice hotels in one area just a stone throw away from 495 and plenty of FREE parking ! Can do Burl/Walth on weekends since Rt3 traffic headed home is nasty during the  week

I have gone to Boston but only on weekends and only for a VERY special couple of ladies. Not worth the overall hassle generally speaking.

I'm no expert (except on what's most convenient for me, I guess), but I would think the pros and cons of the downtown area and the 'burbs depend on what clientele you're looking for.

The downtown is convenient for me when I'm working in the city, but I notice that the ladies who reserve rooms in downtown hotels ask for donations that are in the highest range.  I realize they need that to cover the cost of the room (especially on a slow day), but especially in this economy I'd rather pace myself and wait to spend time each month with two or three ladies at 'burb motels than one lady in the city.  It's not just the amount of donation - it's also the fact that since I don't live in the city, it's a hassle to try to coordinate a lunchtime appointment (since other guys are angling for that same time slot), and once I've left the city in the evening I really don't feel like driving back into it again later.  Now, there are motels out in the nearby 'burbs - Waltham, Woburn, Saugus, Peabody, Framingham - but those are far enough away that I can only get there by car, and when I'm commuting into the city by train, I'm not likely to have access to a car.  It's not too far a drive after work (at least to Route 128; Route 1 and the South Shore are looong trips), but of course I want nothing to do with rush hour traffic, which can last until 7:30 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. easily.  Once I know a lady is hosting in the farther-away 'burbs, like Tewksbury, I know that travel will be easy, parking at the motel will be easy, and rush hour won't be a factor.  It's also more likely that the suggested donation will be more reasonable, because the cost of the room will be much less than a room closer to downtown.  Basically, the towns west and northwest on the 495 belt are where I go these days to meet most ladies, and I find that for me it saves precious time as well as roses to focus my perusal of online ads to ladies hosting in those areas.
