Boston

Just a couple of quick questions for the guys.

So, it looks like I had my dates totally screwed up for my activism thing. It'd actually be the 2nd week of December. This actually works out perfectly with school so I'm stoked. That said, is December a good time to work there? If everyone is gonna be tapped out financially with Christmas shopping and everything, then I might as well just shack up with my fellow hippies.  So my question to the guys is this: would it be worth it to try and work?

Also (gals, feel free to chime in on this as well), if I do indeed work while I'm there, I'm totally getting deposits because y'all have some crazy expensive lodging and quite frankly, I've never had more than two dates in one day and don't intend to set a new record for myself anytime soon. I realize that requiring a deposit is going to mean less interest, but I gotta do what I gotta do. I was thinking like 50%? Is that fair?

Again, I can't thank you guys enough for all of the extraordinarily helpful PMs and emails. Boston clearly rules (doesn't hurt that my all-time favorite comedian is from there). :)

Chanukah comes early this year and will be finished by the time you get here, so some guys should be ready for your visit.

You will do very well here on your visit.

You would do well Jan-Dec. if that works for you.

Whatever month you decide to visit..... See escalade1964 for an hour or 2 or 10...LOL

Even though you have great reviews and a lot of us Bostonians would probably love to welcome you to The Hub, I don't think deposits are very popular around here.

Just like us guys check reviews, you can probably check the TER handles and review histories of guys expressing interest and see who is more reliable and considerate and won't leave you in the lurch.

I, for one, would like to see you during your visit but I know that my schedule in early December is too sketchy to commit to anything this early.

Have a great time in Boston working on your project whether you get to meet "us" or not

Like I said, I acknowledge that deposits aren't a popular idea on TER, and that's cool with me. I know that a lot of guys won't do it, but plenty will. Maybe I'll offer some kind of pre-booking incentive just to make it a little more desirable.

Also, thanks for the well wishes! I'm super excited for all of it! :)

And a pre-booking is really only that guys
say they will see you once in town. But pre-payment ??
Good luck with your visit. :)

I agree - a deposit is a non-starter for less than a four-hour date.

I should have elaborated on that. I meant an incentive to pre-book with a deposit, not just generic pre-booking. Again, I'm well aware that the TER community as a whole aren't stoked on deposits, and it'll likely be a deal-breaker for a lot of guys. I'm fully prepared to deal with that consequence. For the record, though, I'm not asking for a pre-payment in full, but rather something like a 50% deposit or something to that effect. There's a lady here in OH who does 25%, so maybe I'll go with that. We'll see.

Aaaaaaanyway, thank you for the well wishes! I just hope I get time for a little sightseeing! :)
