Always deal with idies but inquired with agency. Say they can use p411 for screen. Asked my for my full name and to show Id at first visit. Is this the norm? I thought P411 was to not have to plaster your info all over? That is there rules and if I dont follow, I dont play. Just wondering how you guys felt.
It's pretty common, at least for the first visit. The point of showing it even after p411 is to make sure the person showing up is the same person who got screened.
I find it the norm most of the time when I have had dates with agency girls for the first time. I still carry my ID with me when I see girls I've seen before...and even a few indies.
in that I generally won't give out personal info. I would never ever ever include personal info in an email which I believe is very risky because it can stick around forever, and you never know where it will wind up. Think about CC or the problems in Atlanta recently and all the people who turned over their personal info for screening. They could be getting an unwelcome visit at any time and that is a risk that I refuse to take. I believe it is even riskier with agencies since they have more incentive to keep the info and use it as leverage plus it's pretty clear they are a bigger target for the authorities.
I also generally will not show my ID at a meeting, at least not my last name, address or anything that I consider sensitive. First off when you have lots of references and OKs it rarely comes up (less than 5% of the time , IME) and when it does I politely say that I can show the parts of my ID used in my P411 account and ask if they can accept that. This has been acceptable every time but one, and that one time it wasn't I declined to see her.
My attitude is to encourage screening, be polite and respectful, but keep your private info private at least until you know and trust the person. Call me paranoid but TER is filled with terrible stories that could be avoided if people followed this simple rule. In my experience it just isn't worth opening yourself up to this issue.
