I am just curious how serious others take the term commitment to mean.  If I commit to a session or a provider commits to a session and one of us cancels is there any reason to be pissed.

Or is the mind set in this hobby it dosn't matter.

Just curious.

those guys in white coats who keep chasing me with that funky jacket they want me to wear. LOL  They haven't caught me since the escape, and they never will.

:-D  :-D  :-D  (this means maniacal laughter)

Seriously, if you set an appointment, you have every right to get pissed if it is canceled without notice absent a compelling reason (like an emergency or something).  If either person cancels, it should be with the idea of rescheduling.  The provider has set aside the time, and the hobbyist has gone through the screening, and an appointment has been made - this is the start of a commitment of time and energy that should be reciprocated.

However, there are providers and hobbyists alike who just don't give a fuck, and, really, wouldn't you rather have found that out about the one you are talking about before you paid with more than time and energy?

Oops, gotta go, they're right behind me. :-D

over the past few days I have come to wonder WTF is wrong with some people. or ONE person in particular....all cancellations coming from a different yahoo addy....hmmmmmmmmmmm...pretty easy to create a yahoo addy...I have two of them myself...none of the cancellations came from regulars...I am not a conspiracy theorist...but I smell sabotage :(
