Following up on a previous thread about STD testing, is it appropriate to ask providers to show recent test results? Seems like it could be uncomfortable but thinking about it for one more second and it seems almost necessary. Has anyone done this? How do providers feel about it?

Necessary? Why? You do understand that the results could be irrelevant the day after she was tested right?  Providers have sex for a living. For the most part they practice safer sex than many civvie women.

I wouldn't advise asking a lady to show you her test results. Most of the time this will not help you in navigating her screening process...

I understand the time delay in test results. I have heard it recommended that you look at a three month certificate.

I also understand the practical side of asking for results pre-screening, but how does it not make sense to know for sure whether a provider is totally clean?

No, I totally agree with you on that point as well. I'm not pointing fingers at either side of the transaction. But coming from the hobbyist side, I figure I'd ask the question from my concerns.

With all the effort the ladies put into staying anonymous I doubt they would show you anything. How do you know she is the person listed on the test results?

If we begin to ask these ladies for their test results, next thing you know they will be asking for us as another part of their screening service.

I'll show my rabies shot if you show me yours. Better be willing to show your paperwork as well.

It's totally impractical to ask providers for test results for a long list of reasons (too many to bother listing, actually), but if it makes you feel better, always wear a cover, even while receiving oral and refrain from DATY. It won't be as enjoyable, but might address your legitimate concerns. Given that 25% of the population in general has herpes, well, you can figure the odds. I feel far safer with a provider and a cover than I would with the proverbial one-night-stand without a cover.

You say you understand yet you dont.  Once the test is printed, someone plays, it's no longer valid.  Aside of the fact that some critters do not test positive immediately so that clean test is not "clean" unless there has been a long window of no possible exposure to something else.  A "three month certificate" is only CERTAIN if you know your partner had no opportunity to be exposed to something new in those three months.

Assume that everyone may have something you do not want and protect yourself accordingly.

If you are playing you need to be testing.  Period.  There are many things which can be asymptomatic.

Go to another place for your health care!  That was irresponsible advice you received.  Community clinics are usually much better at understanding the need for frequent testing than general practitioners and especially the doctor you may have through your insurance company.  Often they'll shave a dime at the expense of your health needs in a heart beat...

Actually it was an STD clinic. You are right, however, about a lack of symptoms not being the same thing as a clean bill of health (I did not imply I was qualified to give medical advice based on a remember line from a clinic.) I went with no insurance records (I just gave them a cash donation to cover their costs.)

Dude, you can't know. You will never know.  The hobby comes with risks. Providers are taking as much risk with you as you are with them.

Your options are pretty much to either practice safe sex with the lady and accept the small amount of risk involved or skip seeing providers all together and jerk-off to internet porn. In most cases if you ask a lady to see test results she will not see you.

Proper protection save guards us all in many ways. nothing is 100%. i would not show anyone my records, and i think that most ladies MUST keep their true id safe, it goes without saying.

my general advice is don't engage in activities that one doesn't have the comfort with.

believe you me gents, most ladies are tiring to stay as safe as you all. Remember some of us have lives outside of providing, maybe a boyfriend/ hubby, and kids, and future plans.

aside from the fact that you could be a crazy stalker...don't need to give anyone another reason to stalk me but I also agree with the fact that the results are only completely accurate the time the tests were taken. Between then and when I see you or even get the results back things change. Testing regularly is the key to knowing you are as safe as possable in this business.
Not only is this such an expensive playgrund because its an intimate playground but its a risky one as well.
we all have to decide what risk and what degree we are willing to take. I know I play safe always..most women here do, the ladies you pick up in a bar could very well have slept with more ppl in one week than I have and not used protection. the benefits of seeing a gal in this business is you can assume they are all using protection. No they all aren't but most do. Its all about risk. Weigh it for yourself and go from there.

how do will i know if your le, rapist, murderer, robber, or straight quack that has done ab and c to others providers in the past. or just a reg. guy, with a job, trying to get...

no disrespect but i dont think stalking occurs as much on the hobbyer side (not that it does not happen i have heard of it more than once)

second, you can read reviews from hobbyers', that have visited the provider you have a liking toward, and get to know some things about her (the things that are interesting for your purposes), and can have, some form of, piece-of-mind that these 3 boys said she is safe or those 36 guys had nothing but good things to say; so why would you need personal info on a provider in this case??? but nothing is 100% safe that is true.

i have met hobbyers that didn't want to provider there full name or real name, but better believe that they have seen MANY verifiable gals. and likely have seen a friend or associate of mine (who i know there screening process or have faith in)

again just my two cents.

There is more than one way to screen a person, that never wants to tells you his name, or true name. So in these cases it makes little sense to not just be upfront in many situations, just stick with reputable, reviewed providers to minimize your risk (i personally wouldn't EVER give all my personal info to a "fly-by-night-gal") And use an email your SO cant access/ doesn't know of (you won't believe some stuff if i told you, which i won't).

in other-words you may get screened and never know of it, but now im talking to much. Believe it or not.

I have 5 pages of reviews and that plus a website a Ter visible list of posts ads on several sites I am quite legit.
I have to be concerned with serious criminal charges that can be lodged against me. you...not so much.Pay a ticket a fine and move on. You aren't going to risk jail time.

If you can come up with 50 refs all who I trust as professional and who will back you up with a *fake name*  If you have a website and a reputation on this site long standing, I may concider seeing you with just that.
I have clients who I only know their first name but they came with iron clad refs from ppl in this business whom I know personally and I trust.

I am willing to play fair but fair is you providing as much info on yourself as there is out there on me. No, you don't know m real name but you do know I am legit and safe if you have done your homework.

yes indeed there are shady ppl in this business and they will go out of their way to Fuck you over, to be blunt... Yet to be fair the risk if you do your homework is minimal, even just about non existant for most risking their lives to see a provider. No so for the lady. There are many girls in this business hurt abused raped even murdered. You don't have to like the way it is, but thats not going to change.
I suggest you develop a good standing relationship with a well reviewed and well respected provider see her several times over a long period and ask her to pass you along, on a first name basis to her friends. Network that way and yes you can have more privacy but it won't happen over night.

If "Room To Move" were in a bar, and a very cute girl next to him suggested they go back to her place, would he first ask her for her STD papers?  Of course not.  He would "hopefully" play safe and hope for the best.  That's all you can do.  Anything else is "false security."  So take a deep breath, put on your rubbers, and jump in.

I agree completely with what you said. My post should have been clearer as I do not expect any provider to just see any gent that calls.
My frustration lies in providers who in addition to Date check, 411, Whitelist , refs etc, still insist on real name and contact form.And yes they are out there

i personal dont ask for more if a person seems reasonably verifiable, plus i know how to really dig and get the info, more so than many other providers, i'm sure... BUT three points come to my mind immediately:

1) believe-it-or-not, there are gals that get in trouble, in certain locations in the US, that LE will threaten, and these gals will FLIP, give out references to set the second provider up, to help their case i guess, i have heard of it all to many times on back-channel (TRUST ME)!!!!

2) There are some locations where this industry, an arrest is the "BIG CATCH", the end all and be all. in-other-words, there is nothing else going on in the town, no killings, no assaults, low thefts (which is good), so they put all LE ingenuity into catching providers. (esp. sheriff departments in city's that already have a municipal force that really does all the work- the sheriffs end up with big budgets/ man power, but nothing to do but chase providers looking for drug leads. i.e. Albany NY)

(and also crime ridden areas- i know of this happening more than once in Harrisburg PA, full of crime so you cant be to careful many-times.)

I.E.: Virgina Beach VA, i will share, i had 4 bookings before i ever left, that checked out with references, but when i finally arrived, and spoke to the first 2, they didn't sound right at all. i think they were LE, call me paranoid, i never found out for sure, but i didn't need the money, so i just turned it into a vacation, and didn't even bother to respond to any other inquires.

THIS IS A PARANOID BUSINESS!! I NEVER ACCEPT REFERENCES!! (but from about 10 gals)

later i found out that one was likely a problem (he was the cheif of LE in that area on datecheck with several oks (7), he TURNED ON PROVIDERS after he got promoted TO CHIEF- hahaha what a clown).

i have learned to screen better since then, but the point, i can understand why some may ask for the full name. but i can see why some guys would not want to give their real name if there references and reviews are impeccable, OR pay for a site!

3) great clients can turn bad, unexpectedly, loss of job, or who the hell knows, could have met 4 girls with no problem, then, SNAP!

what a quandary huh!! lol!

but i have never been in trouble, and knock on wood, and will accept most verification, unless the town is really le hot at the time (and i pay attention), or the hobbyer raises my eyebrow with something he says- or how he says it!!!
