could someone tell me of hotels/motels in the North Shore are that charge hourly or half-day rates?  thanks a lot.

There is one in Middleton, MA, but unless you are using the room for a conventional rendezvous I would pass.  The local LE seems to have it out for the ladies as I know of at least two who were pinched.
