So yes I am new to all the great things Boston has to offer but does anyone know whats going on in Boston Oct.17-21st? I was looking at hotels and noticed they are extremely higher that week? 4 star hotels in backbay are like 450-600 , every other week in Oct and Nov they are in the 2-300 dollar range... Even the Holiday Inn was almost 400!! lol I have never seen this
Ive googled but came up with nothing.....Thanks for the help!
Love

Maybe you can get the price down to the 200 to 300 range
haha! i love W.S. lol .... I would but my needs are too specific and dont want to risk it with the name your own price deal.... Im still coming that week but geesh!! OUCH lol
When room rates are that high it means hotels are near or at capacity. At the point they are not making rooms available to priceline. If you do the name your own price option they are just going to stick you in the burbs or at some dive in Chelsea...
I'm a big fan of priceline but it isn't always applicable.
Aside from it being considered the peak of leaf-peeping season there are also several large conventions going on all over town that week. Boston has never had an over-abundance of hotel rooms to begin with and anytime there is a big group in town they suck-up rooms in large blocks very far in advance. Hotels that already have close to peak occupancy will raise published rates as much as possible.
When I was using agencies a lot this used to drive me nuts since all the girls I wanted to see wound up stuck in the burbs...
Yeah! Thats why I chose that week... to do a little "leaf peeping" of my own
... but no seriously I knew it would be a beautiful week to go ... and I guess so does the rest of the world! I secured a 4 star hotel in backbay area... great hotel just gonna sting a little in $$$$ dept. .... but if you want the best all around , you gotta pay for the best
Hi Leah,
The Head of the Charles Regatta is Oct 22/23. There will be rowing teams from all over the world coming to Boston. This happens every year.

ahhh! Do Bostonians hide in their houses this week? Is it a bad week to go?

Consider Newton and Waltham... I-90 makes them close enough.
Thank you
I bit the bullet in Back Bay area... maybe we will meet? ![]()
Something to do with watching leaves change or something, homecomings, other college related stuff, etc.
Is it a bad week to go you think? seems very family oriented... or maybe I would provide a welcome escape from all the activities lol... or maybe a good excuse to get out of the house? Thats why I love holiday time ! " ok dear, going shopping for presents! "
Bad week I dunno, might be an interesting month. And for how easy it is for the gents to get out and have extra fun....depends on the holiday and how close to it they try to see a provider lol
Though I will be there and gone before you ever arrive. I was ready for high rates before I knew whether to not the Red Sox would be in the playoffs. And Patriots play this weekend - so I knew it was going to be pricey.
But look at the silver lining. If you can swing the rates and many other ladies can't then it will be slim pickings for escorts downtown. High hotel rates don't keep guys from having to go to work. Not to mention all the guys downtown for conventions and such. So you pay 30 - 50% more than usually, but might do 50 - 100% more business. YAY!!!
Just all how you look at it.

One can hope! I just know we have Texas / OU weekend here in Dallas this weekend and unless you are under 25... you pretty much stay home ![]()
Is it the American academy of pediatrics or 'people united for christ bible teaching?'
There are a couple of providers that even I know are going to be in town that week so it looks like it's a big week for one reason or another. Isn't it also the Boston M+G that week too?
It's a shame that I'm out of town, I'm missing all the fun.
for their business are politicians, especially the national conventions, and LE gatherings.
It figures.
Politicians are not at all surprising. It's well paid, they're away from their families a lot and they have the nerve for it, to put it politely.
I'm a little surprised that providers do business with LE so much. It would seem risky to me. I guess that an LE client has the same motivation to be discrete as anybody else.
Personally, I would have guessed medical conventions, particularly surgeons, then maybe catholic priests because of the celibacy rules.
Next week as well as the week of the 17th are prime weeks to be visiting Boston, especially the downtown district. The extra hotel fees may seem daunting at first but it is worth it. The gents are in the area and there is quite a bit going on so it will pay off. Boston is filled with many fine gents and I am sure they will welcome the sexy ladies who will be heating up the mid October air.

HI!
I got a hotel in the back bay area bc it was suggested to me by several people.... how far and accessible is downtown from that area? I really have no idea about Boston
Looking forward to learning!
Leah
If you are in Back Bay that is part of downtown and you will have access via the T (subway) and cabs, etc to all of downtown. Back bay is highly convenient to many areas, feel free to pm.

I am still trying to locate a rooms for my friends, both weeks of the 11th and 17th.
Is the airport terrible as far as location?
And how about the Waltham area?
I'm looking at the airport hotel from my office window right now and still wouldn't travel there for a meet up, but maybe that's just me.
Waltham is a decent area and there are quite a few office parks up there that I'm assuming would make it better for business during the week than on a weekend. Other than that, I think you'll see suburban people go to waltham, but not really city people.
