2.5...Mariano rivera doing at fenway what he does best. Blowing saves. Hows it feel New York..to know that your "supercloser" has choked at Fenway than any other ballpark ever? Half game lead by monday.

Two of his four blown saves have come against the Sox.  You have to say that the Sox have the advantage in the remaining two games at Yankee stadium, the Sox will send up far, far better pitching and the hitters appear to be coming back in stride after a little lull.
That catch by Ramirez to rob the Yankee homer was awesome, boy was he up in the air, and was not holding on to anything either.  With Manny playing like that, does the Yanks have a chance this weekend?  Now, I won't even begin to describe the shit that is going to happen to them when they come to Fenway next weekend to face Mr.Schilling, Mr.Knuckleballer, et al.

THE YANKEES SUCK!!!!!!, GO SOX!

Personally, I do not see why Red Sox fans are so cocky. Why not give the Yankees credit where credit is due? And then go kick their ass. If we don't, fine, we'll get 'em next year. If we do, THEN we can walk the walk. Until then, why make fools out of the region? Look at the Pats. They just go about their business, kickin ass.

Everything is posted in good fun. No reason to take it so seriously.

Lighten Up!

And this is coming from a die-hard Yankee fan!

Hey Energizer.  Love reading your posts on the NY board.  You should get yourself a shipping address that can handle large packages.  You are going to need all the Sam's Lager that can be shipped from this region once the ALCS is over :-))))).

Hey! Leave some of that Sammy in Boston. We're going to need it after the Pats go 3-4! (I have a bottle of Sam's Utopias put away for that celebration ;)

thirsty

...a wise Yankees fan. ;)

Just kidding eb.

thirsty

A wise-ASS Yankee fan. :)

I noticed that you haven't been around the past few days.

Can I say that you disappeared much like the Red Sox offense did this weekend?...lol!

I told you that I'm a "front runner" Red Sox fan. I've been suckered in too many times. :(

On the other hand, I bleed red, white and blue for the Patriots!

It's football season now eb. If NYC had an NFL franchise, you might have noticed. However, the NFL is content to pretend that the two teams that actually play in Jersey are playing in NYC. Hey the Jersey Jets actually look pretty and they do have a great coach!

Alas, poor NFL fans outside of New England...the NFL consists of the Patriots and then everybody else! ;)

thirsty

That would be four and a half game lead by Monday. BTW there VV, your prognosticating ability is about as accurate as knowing what stadium the game on Friday was played in.

Outside of Mariano just being human...
not much for Redsox fans to cheer about this past weekend.

I'm sure we havn't seen the last of some great baseball played between these two teams.Nothing quite like it!

Conversely,ya gotta give ole' Roger credit, the way he's pitchin his butt off for the Stros...
Where's the"Twilight"?

Cheers!

You were calling us out? I responded to you last week and I'll respond again. Red Sox fans are certainly not assailing the credentials of Mr. Rivera are you? Yes he has 4 blown saves this year and two against the Sox, but he also has FORTY-NINE other saves. He is without question the best reliever in World Series history. He will be the fireman of the year, and is the Yankees MVP if Sheffield isn't.

Please fill me in on Senor Macho. He lost yesterday, he lost game 7 last year (I know Wakefield got the L, but Pedro blew a 3 run lead). BTW, who won game 7 for the Yankess last year? That's what I thought, Mr. Rivera.
