Clam chowder is the best thing in this weather. Boston is full of good seafoods resaurants....

The best indoor activities would be the area's museums.  The Museum of Fine Arts will take up a few days to see it all.  The Museum of Contemporary Art  is also quite worthwhile, as is the Gardner Museum
