I just want to go on record as saying that I did not request that I be reinstated on the other board.I am VERY happy here and hope to contribute in a constructive manner for a long time to come.It all began again when Spanky apologised to me for past transgressions.Several people including VIPs took it upon themselves to try to get them to right what in their opinions was a wrong.I thank them for that.
 For the umpteenth time,I want to make clear what I did to be in this situation.There used to be a backchannel group of guys who were the largest posters on the other board.Since I knew a lot of providers,I used try arrange a situation where The provider would see these members at a discount.It was a good two-way street because the provider would get more business and not have to worry about cancellations,no-shows or verifications and the members got a discount of usually $50 and sometimes even more.I was also involved with several Agencies in the same manner.Since there hasn't been a backchannel group for well over a year now,this does not go on any longer.The highly visible poster on the other board who has recently come out against me,and was a VERY active member of that group, was the one who introduced me to the owner of Exotica 2000 because he was "tired of paying $1500/hr and up for the porn stars". Now he says that the whole idea of discounts is terrible.
  Once again I maintain that I have NEVER posted a false review.I have also NEVER received any considerations from a provider or agency with the promise of a favorable review.I have challanged the powers that be on the other board to find ONE instance of this to back up the claims of some people who made allegations out of some distorted jealosy.
   I am getting very tired of rehashing this over and over.The other board doesn't want me and I don't want them.I am happy here on TER and I hope that TER is happy with me.I believe that this board has gone way past the other one, in Boston,as far as fun,less bickering, and interesting topics goes.This is evidenced by how many of their VIPs are now posting here now.I wonder if their former moderator will retain his VIP status when he is realeased from jail.
  I'm sorry for running off at the mouth,(one of my real problems)but I wanted to tell it like it is and thank those who supported me. Now can we all get back to the fun part THE SEX.

I understand what you are talking about that group on that other board are as currupt as the former mayor of providence was

its like a mini plunder dome case. people over there get very up tight when a hobbist posts thats not a member of there little group i was set up by the big H and a provider

but thats alright I found a good home here at TEr where honesty and intergrity are second to none

Well, F-em !  I for one appreciate all the sharing you've contributed to this board and to me that is what it's all about - sure wish everyone was so generous.

Hey VB...stay away from the boards for a week or so and there are volumes on a myriad of subjects.

As a member of the "former backchannel" group and a "former" VIP on the "other" board. I believe that I can offer my 2 cents from that perspective.

Like anything in life, competition exists between providers and it exists between hobbysists as it does in athletics and the business world. Some take the high road and compete with complete respect and discretion for their foes while others compete using any means possible to win the game. In this hobby, there are providers and hobbyists that play utilizing both of these styles. Getting an edge over the other is what competition is all about. For me, the high road players always surface and as they say "cream rises to the top"...and to the dogs who play with no respect, or discretion (providers and hobbyists), their day will come because as they say, every dog has their day..LOL

If VB is a heel because he referred a group of trustworthy, already verified guys for guaranteed appointments for a provider's trip and negotiated a "discount" for the group, then I guess I need to go back and review Marketing 101.

Enough on that subject, one observation I will make since spending time on this board is that although there are games that are played here as they will be on any public forum, my hat is off to you Mr. Thirsty for the way in which you will not allow public bashing etc..you run a good ship..keep it up.

I can't stop and not comment on the Stacey bashing. I was one of her original customers when she broke into the business(and actually took her first set of pics on my digital camera, and I am not any professional photographer).I have seen her grow in stature and in style. I have not seen her in over 2 years and have no agenda other than to say that she doesn't deserve the s**t she gets from providers and hobbyists both. You may not like her humor or her style, but hey she might not like yours either, so rather than trash the lady, just move on.

Let's all practice free enterprise and freedom of expresion, but do it with respect and discretion.

I have watched (and participated in) the little controversy on the other board with great interest.  On various occasions, I was one of the beneficiaries of the "backchannel" discounts that you (and others) arranged with independents and agencies.  I also know that there was never any intent on your part to obtain discounts in return for favorable reviews (or reviews at all), nor was there an intent to threaten or coerce.  

But it's also clear to me that it is very easy for a lady or agency owner to misinterpret one's intent and to feel coercion where none is intended.  I am sure that this occurred on multiple occasions in conjunction with our backchannel group activities.  Because of the possibility for misinterpretation in these settings, our backchannel group (prior to its eventual disbanding) revised its policy to actively discourage any solicitation or acceptance of group discounts.

But the damage was already done.  These group discounts pissed a lot of people off.  In hindsight, maybe we should have seen it coming...  but we didn't.  I'm sorry for my part in offending anyone.  As OceanRover says, we thought discounts for access to a pool of good clients was just Marketing 101.  But others thought differently...

The bottom line is that you've made a lot of friends and at least a few enemies.  It's very clear that the management of the other board are not your friends, nor are they ever going to discuss the subject again.  It's also clear that your enemies are not going to step forward and name themselves publicly.  After all, it's much easier to do damage behind the scenes where you have no opportunity to rebut.  That stinks, but that's life...

It's time to bury the hatchet...  Turn the other cheek to those who would try to drag you down.  Enjoy what you have...  Enjoy this board, enjoy your hobbying friends, enjoy the wonderful ladies who provide us companionship and joy...

i joined TBD back in March. few days later i deliberated whether it was worth joining TER as well (cuz it seemed redundant). boy was i wrong and fortunately i did and sho'nuff a month later i had completely stopped going over to TBD (haven't been there since). let's face it, it's a f*cking wasteland populated by underworld characters straight from a sleezy film noir (the bad kind i mean! LOL) ... is it any wonder we hear all these tales of corruption and political back-stabbing and other shenanigans that go on over at TBD? i for one decided not to complicate my hobbying life and stayed away period. even when i hear about these "juicy" going-ons i still stay away (eg. i never bothered to check up on the recent "colhogan-huboo affair" -- sounds like a spy novel


now as for VegasBob, i have to say i've seen/heard/read nothing to make me think he's anything less than a completely legit and standup guy.  sure he backchanneled me some info and offered a discount or two for meeting a few travelling ladies, but all of it a mere $50 or so and with all the benefits (safety, easy screening, etc) going to her (not $s for him).  agency or indy there's nothing wrong with that

likewise, when it comes to reviewing and/or doing favours for gals or agencies, i've said it before (on PS board) and i guess i'll say it again here:  technically it's NOT shilling when you're telling the truth! ...  so if i praise a provider in a glowing review and/or if she comes out here to thank me for it is completely IMMATERIAL unless that review was bogus! -- that is, a review intended to decieve and mislead another hobbyist in order to rob him from his hard-earned dollars

finally as an aside, the way some of the ladies on this board are treated (case in point Mel) is a darn tooting shame, but then what can we do about n'er-do-wells who come on "public" boards and mess up the clean-living hobbying of the rest of us? what can one do i wonder?

So let me get this straight - you guys all get a discount. Then all the providers raise their base rate to neutralize the discount. Result: everyone else is now paying a higher price.

Even a heavily discounted rate is out of my league.  Like a sale at Bloomingdales - it would need to be a 90% discount for me to afford.
