Any provider/hobbyist parties going on?

First Night, on which all the others are based, was founded in Boston in 1976:

I don't see anything provider / hobbyist related in this year's listing: http://www.firstnight.org/  Although you could use your imagination at some events ...

Maybe you can come up with something for next year's program.  Just remember: No Alcohol!
