It's usually pretty obvious when the review is fake or the person just has issues. Mostly that depends on past reviews and/or the person is obsessive about certain details. I just don't understand why anyone would post a fake negative review just to get a membership. It's far more likely to get noticed. I assume there is something more going on.
My most recent review is definitely false. I'm curious if those of you gents savvy on TER would suspect as much upon viewing (if so shoot a reply or PM) My other reviews are sufficiently detailed for me to relive the time spent, but the most recent is JUST VAGUE ENOUGH and super generic, plus the ratings given hurt my overall average. The reviewer posted the EXACT quota of reviews to get freebie membership, no wonder it's so vague and generic and no wonder he didn't reply to my PM asking about it.
Interesting question I have thought about while reading some reviews. I must admit there are occasions I have "vanilla-ized" my reviews so as to not establish expectations a provider might not want advertized to the unwashed masses. That said, I do try to check a review history of the hobbyist and see if any ladies have been seen in common. If not, I do try to get the general flavor of reviews among those listed. All this in the three minutes I have to spend reading reviews twice a week. I also believe in YMMV for all providers as well as hobbyists. While I do not consider myself "savy", I do think I represent average and probably would discount such a review. Now off to read said review.
Came to the conclusion he's just "reviewing for VIP". He seems to be well established by looking at his other reviews.
I agree it's pretty generic in some ways, but he's quite complimentary of you.
dannyboy10 has 194 reviews. A hobbyist with that many reviews obviously has expendable cash, and writing a fake review for 15 days of credit makes no sense at all.
You are counting his reviews too to determine that he needs VIP days? How do you know he is not also a paid member and or submits problem reports to maintain VIP? You don't.
In this case, I would NOT suspect a fake review, but would give his review more validity.
BTW, I wouldn't answer your PM either. He wrote the review, it's legit. Just leave it at that.
Danny Boy has enough VIP time for years on TER, and writing a review is a pain in the ass. He has NO motive to write a fake or bad review of you. Some guys do not include exact details to remain anonymous. I think you just don't like the fact he gave you 7/7 scores. Admit it!
I'd see you based on that review alone. Looks good to me ![]()
most of your reviews are better
things will pick up, no reason to bash a reviewer, it only makes you look really bad
or even longer if a reviewer fudges on when the date happened. As it is a rather generic (but complimentary) review, it may be that you did see him, but that you can't be positive due to lack of detail.... it doesn't look like a false review to me.
Dannyboy's review seemed to cover the bases (many ladies don't want too many explicit details) and from what I gather from your post is that you are more concerned with the numbers than whether the review was fake or not.
We, as hobbyists, may not like what a lady decides she wants to receive as a donation but we don't bitch about it on the board. By the same token we, as hobbyists, write the reviews and it is OUR decision to put a value on the experience. You, as a provider, may not like it but please don't bitch about it on the board.
Live with it and, perhaps, take it to heed. Maybe you have just come to expect the high numbers without the performance to warrant them.
As someone else put it by e-mail "you're gonna get battered around on the board again"
I really need to refrain from posting, um, anything here, but I've taken all responses into consideration.
Have a good Sox choke hangover day, y'all ![]()
You attempted to impugn the integrity of a solid reviewer and respected hobbyist, calling him out in public which is not a good idea.
Choose your battles more carefully, or better yet start none at all.
I wouldn't mind being your next reviewer. Ya just gotta go that extra mile next time, right ![]()
Ashley, seriously ? The review was a compliment to you. the scores were just a little lower than your average. Maybe he has high standards ( which is a good thing ) the scoring is subjective and that is part of the game . Move on hunny ,
it happens
she's not smart to call attention to it, and even less smart to make an argument that she's sure the encounter didn't happen
Where you been kinda quiet lately I thought you probrably quit since you didnt reply to my pm
Now, you'll work harder! Especially when you know a frequent reviewer is coming! Suck girlie suck!
Dannyboy10 has 194 reviews, and the few that I checked were in the $500-1000 range. I don't question his integrity in the least.
Never considered seeing AshleighRicci because of her price. After reading her post, I would not even want to see her for 300.
Hey Ashleigh tell the truth, do you use the alias "BeautywithBrians"? The name matches the lingo on your webpage, and her posts match your bitchy personality.
If you look at the frequency of Danny reviews you'll notice he is writing two sometimes three reviews a month every 14 days or so!
You have been on my radar for a while now I'm working my way to you soon.
Ashleigh,
I usually do alot of research before I see someone. I read multiple reviews on who I am planning to see. I also do homework on the reviewers as well. A reviewer with a small review history and that hasnt been around for a long period of time usually just gets a glance read. If a provider has multiple reviews that are very high and one comes in from a less experienced reviewer that review doesnt play as much of a role in my decision. I hope that helps
