I tried posting a response to a sad and somewhat alarming message below, but it was almost instantly deleted.  Did this happen to anybody else?  

Are health-related questions not allowed?  If so, this seems a bit counterproductive to the point of this board.  For the safety of the community, shouldn't these questions be permitted?

When anyone edits their post, it vanishes from the board until approved by...the elves (or whoever it is in the back room that approves these).  All posts that replied to said post also vanish into editland, for an undetermined amount of time.

Your post will probably reappear in an hour or so.

If you feel it was important enough, just repost it again.

Just don't edit it, as DT mentions.  Otherwise it ends up in edit land.

So far my edited posts are averaging ten to twelve hours before they go back up. I'm just not going to bother worrying about typos anymore...

Is that anywhere near Willy Wonka's chocolate factory???  Maybe Oompa Loompa Land???  That's it, it's the Oompa Loompas that are doing the editing...right????

Well, a better term would be purgatory for edited posts.

Pardon me for not being creative enough before.

I've come down to writing all my email in word, for the spell checking and editing reminders, the cut and paste it to the email.  Sounds like that would help here, prevention vs cure.

I don't like typos either,but I can't type. If I could type...j/k I still wouldn't make $12 and hour
