Any of you Massachusetts guys been venturing into RI for an AMP or provider visit since the lockdown? Specifically since Ri (and every state) has been considered "high risk?" Wondering if there's any chance of being harassed by LEO just cause I'm an out-of-state plate during a pandemic.
True, there are local options, but was in the mood to visit a couple of particular ladies in RI. Considering waiting till things calm down a little, but don't imagine it would be a problem if I did go down. Just don't want to be pulled over for something else (who knows what) and asked a bunch of questions. ("I'd rather not answer any more questions, Officer," can be awkward.)
I've been to Woony twice and had no problem. I used all back roads in and out but I live very close to the line. I want to venture to Providence/Warwick but I'm nervous about taking the highways. Perhaps I'll take the highway there and back roads home.
Drove down several times to see girls with no issues. No one stopped while entering RI and no one stopped while coming back to Mass. I went to Cadillac Lounge once and they asked me to write down my name and phone number. I wrote down fake name and number, which they didn't check.
I also went down further south to Hartford to see a girl from Olita with no stopping or asking questions.
If at all some official stops you and ask questions, then don't tell them you are going to see friends or relatives. They may ask you to give their info to confirm. Search for a good restaurant in RI before you leave and tell them that you were bored and were craving food from this restaurant for months and wanted to take a long drive down for a curb side takeout.
