BI now higher! Room Service up but still a good deal! Where do folks think donation prices are headed? Many businesses still struggling out there. If prices go up, my lower priced UTRs become more competitive. Thoughts?

so what choice is there but to raise our rates as well.

I went on the same cruise 3yrs apart but I paid more this last time.
Parking fees in Boston went up over the last 5yrs
the price of gas certainly has.

this too is challenged by hotel rates being through the roof. AND advertising raised its rates.

Inflation is a reality here as well...
we feel it too so its passed on to the client just like every other business.

At least the ones in the Back Bay area that are 4 star or higher. Luckily I'm a member of a couple of hotel reward programs so when I'm heading to Boston I'll use points for one night to bring the average cost of my hotel for 3 nights down.

Unfortunately my favorite hotels have moved their hotels up 2 levels on their hotel in Boston, so it takes 10,000 more points to use points for a night.

But the men in Boston are so damn nice I happily redeem my points and head to Boston anyway when I can. A plus is I got a really good deal on Jet Blue. Round trip, non stop for less than $250 and one bag checked for free.

And I would be grateful now to get a hotel price of $242 at the places I love to stay!

You may be able to pay less if you look.  No need to pay more unless you want.  

You can get better rates on flights through Southwest.  Their flights to Boston will mostly put you on Air Tran, which they recently bought out, but with their rapid rewards program and "Wanna get away fares" you can do quite well.  In addition you can check 2 bags for free and there are no change fees if you need to change your flight.  I paid less than $100 each way from Tampa.

Jet blue was actually slightly less and I didn't have a stop over at BWI. Jet Blue was NON STOP!

So no I couldn't get a better deal on SW or I would have booked with them.

In love SW 2 checked bags thing. and if you have to cancel your flight, NO penalty, you just have a credit for the full amount on future bookings.

I'm been booking with SW for over 15 years, love them. They just changed their flight schedule for RDU to Tampa RT. No more non stop flights at the times I like to fly.

And Air Tran was bought by SW like 2 years ago. Before SW bought them I REFUSED to fly Air Tran, they are nothing more than VALUE JET with a new name. Remember them. Horrific crash, completely the fault of the airline. No survivors, it happened in Florida so maybe you know about it. I still hate flying on AirTran because it what they did to those poor lost souls.

And then there are those Jet Blue seats, TVs, great free snacks...

Good to know for a backup.  Southwest is always my first choice.

Just wish I didn't have to sit in Nashville and Atlanta-sigh! I loved their non stop flights there this summer-sigh!
