Do You Access TER In Public?

From time to time (read: every day) I find myself in situations which cause me to want to glance at TER in public.  From Starbucks to the airport, if I'm on my PDA or laptop chances are I'm connected and if I'm connected usually I'm sneaking a peak at the boards or reviews.  From time to time I swear someone is looking over my shoulder and if its a man I nearly always believe that he has a working familiarity with TER (lol).

Do you glance in public?  Do you relegate it to the privacy of home or your office?

I do, but I am careful about my surroundings

I do...sometimes. On mine PDA it's a little cumbersome and I'm thankful for that because it discourages me from spending too much time on it during the day. God forbid I get something done other than researching my next lay.

One time, I was browsing TER in public while waiting for a friend. He finally shows up and I had gotten a new phone since we last saw each other. He's the "grabby type" and goes to reach for it. Got his hands on it but that's about it. Would have been a little awkward. Much more awkward than the beating he'd have sustained for being rude though...

I would not look in public, but I can see how it could vary from person to person. If I had a different job, I might. Near where I live, there are just too many potential complications to risk it.

Even if I were free to look in public, I still wouldn't log in on an actual public computer (library, etc.). Looking at forums would be fine, but not actually entering my username/password.

Usually when I'm waiting in Court for one of my cases to be called.  In the grand scheme of things, it's a win-win because I'm usually getting paid my regular hourly rate while surfing and posting on TER.  (Before anyone gets outraged, I would be paid for being there no matter what I'm doing while waiting).

I've also surfed TER in Church, the doctor's office, in the mall, and sitting on the beach while my wife read her book.  I won't say I'm addicted because I'm still in denial, but when a 12 step program for TER pops up, I'll look into it.

Good luck

I'll open another window (Yahoo or something) and then have TER in a smaller (second) window.  If someone gets too close, I click on the other window and I'm "safe" until the danger has passed.

While doing cardio I admit I pull out my BB and entertain myself...by sneaking peeks.  I always check out who is around me before I do though!

on my laptop, when I'm waiting in an airport. I usually try to find a seat where my back will be against the wall.
