I know this is a free market, and Escorts are entitled to request the donations they want, but I'm a bit dissapointed when I need to book 90 to 120 minutes for the first meeting. I think 1hr is good enough, if  there's good chemistry then I'd go for a longer time.

First off in this business the client is always right, if he agrees 100 % with the provider. If not all hell is going to breaks loose.

 
I can understand why provider do is, as they say it is to weed out the undesirable/assholes, but the only thing wrong with this idea, is that there are a lot of undesirable/asshole men without money out there but there is a lot of undesirable/asshole with money out there to.  So that one doesn’t always work out for them.

Some say it is make sure the 2 of you will get to know each other and form a great chemistry. The idea of this is to have you become a regular client. But if you don’t have a good chemistry after an hour, another ½ hour or hour is not going to make it any better.  

I could be that they can do less appointment per day, if she has a set amount she wants to make per day; she can with see less guys. Not a bad idea for them.  

I don’t need more then an hour to figure out if I would like to see a lady again, Spending a lot of money to see a lady for 2 hour with no reviews or only a few is just a waste of your time and money. I would rather spend the money on a well reviewed lady for an hour. Knowing I will have a good time.  

In the long run it is their business and they set any price and time they want.

But on our side if we don’t like the price we can just pass on them and see someone else

.....while I do offer one hour dates, I cannot remember the last time I booked one.  If I am meeting a gentleman for the first time, I prefer a minimum of an hour and a half/two hours.  I realize that many men are just looking to have a bit of fun, with a happy ending, but those men rarely contact me.  

    When at home in DC, I never entertain more than one gentleman per day, and when traveling, never more than three.  Most of my dates include a lot of social time outside of the room, and when staying in, I do my best to create an experience; not a session.  I always reserve a suite when traveling, provide good music (gentlaman's choice), unscented candles, a light bite, and drinks/cocktails.  

     I have heard/read, that many gentlemen just care about a clean room, sheets, and towels, but one must keep in mind, that when certain ladies have down time, they want the fluffy bath robes, room service, a great gym, etc.

Oh how that statement is over used...the customer is NOT always right when he is trying to stick a square peg into a round hole.  When one clearly lists their services and parameters upfront, don't try and change them.  What's next-telling a GFE to offer a certain fetish because "the customer is always right"?  Find those that fit your peg...unless you like trying to force it into ill-fitting slots? Sounds PAINFUL to me! :-p

Where the customer IS always right: being shown respect, and having a service provided as advertised & promised.  Being a customer doesn't mean one gets to dictate the service, rules or rates.

First, you state good chemistry, but if that competes with her thoughts of good chemistry, I would maintain good chemistry is not achieved.

Second, many providers spend time screening you before a first visit, so their time upfront maybe more than yours.  They might be looking to cover their sunk time cost upfront.

Third, it is not a premum fee but an extended session and time to get to know someone.  This may give the provider a time to learn more about what you like.

Fourth, it probably weeds out some who look to be in high action mode for the full session and not connect except plugging "A" into "B."  That may not be what they enjoy and if they can screen that out so much the better for them.

Fifth, if it is their home town, it may cover the cost of an incall, so they can profit from the session.  Often on tour providers may shorten the time for a first visit for both marketing and business reasons as the incall is a sunk cost.

 
There have been a couple of posts by some wonderful providers that I have known for over a week and their responses are good reading.  Not as much fun as seeing them, but you can not have everything on TER.

I like a lady with whom I can feel comfortable and have some interesting conversation as leisurely warm-up to a romp and then some cool-down snuggle time after. You know, that GFE. Difficult to achieve all of this in just one hour.

The various reasons why she wants a longer date are easy to parse: lower volume, less work in having to reset/prep for the next guy, and some ladies recognize that they'll perform better and enjoy it more if they can get to know the guy a little.
