Am I the only one having difficulty getting an appointment with Julie of Worcester? I've been trying for almost a month to set up an appointment. Here's the pattern: She sends me an email saying she's available on Friday,then on Thursday says, "Can't make it" and suggests the following Friday. After the third time of this, I wonder if she's playing games because in several of the follow-up emails she repeatedly asked, "How long an appointment would you like?" Could the problem be that I've requested a half-hour session? However, her website says she offers half-hour rates. If she doesn't want to give a half-hour appointment, fine. She should eliminate that option from her website and quit playing games. Maybe it's time to give up and just give Danielle a try. It's a bit farther a drive, but I've read good things about her(except, of course, that whole bogus posting unpleasantness).
The main thing to remember is that we ALL have private lives. A long time ago I had my butt "spanked" by a local lady (fortunately she was nice enough to do in a private email)(lol) when I "complained" on the board about a certain lady (don't even remember her name right now) not returning phone calls. She pointed out in her email to me that MOST of the ladies do not sit around by their phone or their computers all day waiting for potential clients to call or write.
Julie may have any number of personal "issues" that could have arisen and need her attention more than seeing clients. If they are personal she, in all likelihood, is not going to tell you why she can't meet you and perhaps the reason she keeps asking about the time allotment is that she may not save any correspondence (in my book that gives her a LOT of points!) and probably also gets a tremendous amount of emails (granted the majority of them probably are just asking dumb questions that could be answered if the writer would take the time to READ her website completely!) so she probably doesn't remember the details of previous correspondence.
Not certain if this is the case but I would definitely give her the benefit of the doubt.
I've experienced the same EXACT problems you have outlined, exactly. Same request, sporatic replies, few cancels, for several months, so I've given up.
I have had the same problem with her it has been going on for three or four weeks i lost track but same mo exept I said I would book an hour so its not the 1/2 hour thing.
Big Scott once gave Julie a great reccomendation. Unfortunately, I have never been able to locate her web-site. Being one of the many starving and frustrated hobbyists here in central Mass, I have to say that I'm totally eager to take a roll of the dice and chance setting up something with her. Could someone please post a thread that would get me to her web-site ?
you are lucky...at least she replied to your emails...I have emailed her on many occasions and she has never given me the courtesy of a response...I followed her requests to a tee in my emails to her as well...its funny too cause I know people who have seen her and say she is a wonderful person and people who know me know I am very respectful to the providers...oh well
