If you'd prefer to be in the city, I'd recommend the "Back Bay" area. There are lots of nice hotels and also there are things to do when you're not working. If you'd prefer the suburbs, I'm partial to the Waltham area (sometimes lumped together as Newton/Waltham). If you book here, you might want to have a car. Another alternative is Burlington. It's also a bit further out in the Burbs and you might want a car, but there's a mall right there and you can likely get hotel transportation to and from. I'd recommend against the Financial district (dead at night), Dorchester (has it's good and bad sections and the bad sections will scare away some clients), Dedham/Norwood (most hotels are more run down), Tewksbury (quite far away).

How about Braintree? There are a number of decent places there.. It's a decent area and it's accessible fromRte 3 , & rte 128.. No idea about the $$ for a room nut I'm sure there is a range there
