Trust me, I'm still traumatized...lol, it may have been all the little girls dressed as princess' ( they seemed to be better behaved than the unruly, impatient crowd ).
Pay zero attention to the commuter rail schedule, it doesn't currently exist. 4:50 cancelled, 5:15 cancelled, 5:35 left at 6:20...if you're lucky enough to get on don't be surprised to enjoy your journey standing in the aisle. Plus, you can pocket your pass because the conductor isn't coming through.
I just found out that a client walked 30+ minutes yesterday to get to our location. Another one drove around hunting for parking for hours before giving up.
This should come as no surprise, but every parking garage in downtown Boston is maxed out due to the snow, at least during the daytime. Things are probably not much better at night either.
Some garages still offer parking to registered hotel guests, but generally only on a costly full-day valet basis. For the record, you don't have to walk in the cold for 30 minutes or drive around in circles. I don't know about other providers and agencies, but I'm happy to help get you parked, even if it's on my dime.
Has anyone else experienced similar parking issues?
was a disaster and there was no snow. I drove for a half hour (in circles) and finally found a garage with a spot. It was a half mile away. Never ever again!
all parking garages where full so it is crazy DT boston today. most streets where a mess. suggestion leave very early or hope hotel has parking but FYI, I tried that today on a non-provider visit, as I just wanted to park. I could not give them a room number b/c I was not going in the hotel. they turned me away b/c of that. so might be tough....
Frustrating to drive around for hours in Boston! I'm a country boy, and I forget sometimes how crazy the city is. Really disappointed in myself for missing a great opportunity. Never miss appointments and never late, it chewed at me all day. Allison, you provide a generous offer, thank you.
For those of you out there from outside of Boston like myself, I suggest taking public transportation (T, primarily). I talked to a couple friends yesterday evening voicing my frustration driving into Boston, they just laughed and called me insane for trying. They are from western suburbs and they always take subway in. In the end it's cheaper and saves a lot of stress & headache.
They've already stated it will take another month to be back to normal, if, we don't get anymore snow. Parking is also hit or miss at many of the stations

I have to spend next Sunday to Wednesday at a big Boston Hotel for a trade show.. I'm driving in from the Burbs every day as my company saved money and did not approve hotel rooms for my team of 10.. I never even thought of a parking issue.. I have to be there every morning by 7:15 or so.. damn !
Let's keep our lovely ladies safe! If you love the variety agencies provide please support established ones like BI, BEB (and I know there are a few more)-- This dude is a huge DB scumbag.
I wouldn't worry about it, you posted nothing wrong. I believe she meant to reply under the OP. That would be my guess and probably anyone else perusing the thread.
