Can you provide a little more detail/clarification?
1. What exactly is an "ad post?" Speaking just for myself, the PRIMARY reason I visit the Boston discussion board is to see what ladies are planning to visit. If THAT'S the type of post you're planning to remove - you've just made the Boston board irrelevant, at least to me. (Sorry if I've misunderstood what an "ad post" is...)
2. Where is the "Regional Ad" posting board? (Or, the regional sub-forum)?
I REALLY appreciate all the time and hard-work you admins put into this site, keeping the quality high, and the spam out. But, this policy might be going a little too far - announcements from ladies about their travel plans and availability is one of the most valuable features of TER.
Ad posts will no longer be allowed on regular Regional discussion boards on TER please take note of these changes.
We have created new Regional sub-forums for provider ad posts only. Any provider ad post that is posted to the regular Regional board will be moved by the moderator to the Regional Ad posting board. Also, regular posts will not be allowed on the Regional Ad posting boards.
The ad posting Regional boards can be found in the same drop down menu as the rest of the Regional boards.
Please do not hesitate to contact the moderator of your board if you have any questions or you can contact the Staff by using the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page or by Pm'ing the infamous FFP.
I'm assuming this is intended to keep forum spam at a minimum but... isn't forum spam the point? On a hobby forum (any hobby) what is the point of a forum if the subject can't be displayed and discussed?
Do the regional forums have enough traffic to warrant their existence without advertisements?
I'm guessing that the intention is for provider ads to remain visible on page one a bit longer as they won't be knocked back a few pages by non ad related banter.
I think it's a great idea. It will actually make it much easier for guys who are looking to cut through the BS and find all recent provider ads in given region. It will also help eliminate the "tagging" of provider ads by suck-ups and internet trolls who have nothing better to do than complain about a gal's rate or her pictures.
I agree that some of the regional boards may become pretty quite without provider ads bulking up the activity but, as far as I'm concerned, it's on the local hobbyists and providers to contribute or not and keep the boards alive...or not.

my guess it would be a place to put an add instead of having adds and discussions on the same board, you lookin for an add you go to the add section, lookin to discuss something you go to the discussion board.
If all you are interested in are the ad posts than you simply click on the ad board. It is no more work to get there than it is to get to the regular regional board. All of the ads will be right there to view without the non-ad posts.
If you want to read our non ad related oh-so-clever banter than yes, you would have to click again to get to the regular regional board but I assume from your OP that you are only looking for the provider ads.
It is much easier and more interesting to look in one place. Whether looking through member posts, or checking for new visitors, you never know ehn something unexpected and fun will catch one's eye. I'd rather not have to go to two places to do what more easily done in one.
