Boston
Question for providers & hobbyists,The city vs the suburbs which one works
I am going to ask which is better to have a visit with a provider. The city or the suburbs. I know that they both have their pros and cons. The city it is hard to park if you drive into the city. Providers seem to raise there rates when they stay in the city due to the cost of renting rooms. You can get stuck in traffic in the city or even be delayed by using public transportation (MBTA or the T as it is called). For example I can drive into the city from my home in about 15 or 20 minutes, while if I use the T it takes the better part of an hour. It also depends if the Red Sox, Celtics, or Bruins are playing that night it ca take even longer. If you are already in the city well then it makes sense to see a provider in the city. But simple math will tell you a provider working in the city and charging more will make more of a net profit buy working in the city. I do understand sometimes the city is were it is happening such as dinner dates and the it is a short walk back to the hotel. I would rather see a provider in the suburbs or just outside the city where the hotels have parking lots and you can usually avoid traffic, while the walk fro the front door is much shorter if you are in the parking lot as opposed the the city parking arangements.
I had a bad time parking and then seeing a provider in the city, see thread (post) below. That thread is what promted me to start this thread. So providers and hobbyists what works for you.
IMHO, the City is better for me as a hobbyist for early appointments, for appointments during the day (including for a quick nooner), and for appointments right after work. Geographically, the City is more convenient to a larger number of potential clients, coming from north, west, and south. If there's a provider on the north shore and I normally head south after work, there's no way I'm going to travel through rush hour north only to have to maybe hit rush hour again when I head south through the City (or around it on 128). I can take a taxi or the T pretty much everywhere in the City (or Cambridge), and that pretty much cancels out any parking in the City problems. If I work north of the City, of course it's more convenient it the provider is staying let's say at a motel on Route 1; or Route 9 if I work in Natick; etc.
If there happens to be a provider or agency a guy knows who's out a client's way in the 'burbs, okay, that's preferable then. But I agree with Owl: all things considered, I'll take the in-City gals any time of day.
I live in the city, walking distance from most of the major hotels. I never even consider the suburbs. If they're out there, I don't see them.
I prefer the suburbs. There is less traffic and way more parking.
How many hobbyists do live in the city? Living in the city is more expensive than outside the city. Most who live in the city do not have cars. I live just outside the city and could not imagine life without a car. It is my preferance to live outside the city. Although times when I need to go into the city I either drive (which case I always get stuck in traffic) or use the T (which is the slowest and most inconvienent way to attempt to get into the city. Boston is an old city and is poorly designed for getting around by car. I find it easier to see a provider outside the city than in the city. The times that I have gone and saw providers in the city in 5 star hotels I was not very impressed with the rooms. My preference is outside the city since it is easier to get around. You are able to blend into the crowd more in the ciyt hotels than out side. There are pros and cons to both locations.
Most men see providers during the week, during the day or right after work. Where we work is much more important than where we live.
Either the city or the burbs work for me. I simply plan accordingly for where the lady I want to see is staying.
This question has come up dozens of times over the years and the fact of the matter is that there is no definitive answer. Different locations work for different providers and for different customers.
True. I think the biggest issue is whether you have to go from one to the other though. If you are going from the city to the burbs or vice versa, it's a nuisance and given the number of options that trip can make or break a deal.
Suburbs. Getting into and out of the city is a big hassle.
Only the suburbs work for me. Besides the traffic and parking hassles, I only have short time windows in my schedule and I would rather spend the time with the provider than fighting the city.
In the case of a visiting HOT provider I would stretch it to include Cambridge or maybe Back Bay, but there are lots of great ladies outside the city, Also, the extra expense of parking is a disincentive to come into the city.
I don't care a rat's ass about 5 star hotels. I focus on the lady I am with.
128 belt is ridiculous. who has that kind of time to go to Burlington or Waltham!
Who has that kind of time to go to Burlington or Waltham ?
Anyone living neaar the 128 belt. No parking worries, not traffic hassle, no time wasted driving to Boston. Just pure pleasure with the lady.

since I live in the city. It's too much of a hassle and the lower cost just isn't worth it to me. Sometimes I regret it when I see an ad for someone particularly attractive and they only seem to visit the 'burbs (outcall isn't an option for me) but given that there are plenty of options in the city it's not that much of a loss.
Parking has never been a problem for me. I prefer the convenience of the city, I can have visits before or after travel, or I can drive into the city prearranged for a special provider. I like the street scene in Boston, and other cities.
