There is a feature story about suburban AMPs in the area including mention of a website i was not familiar with for finding them.

The story has the usual hogwash about how deplorable the trafficking is, etc., but it also has a quote from a hobbyist (They use that term!), and even a brief quip from TER's former Erotic Highway Board mod, Dr. Christine Milrod who is a licensed sexual therapist in California.  (Wonder how the reporter found her.)

The story emphasizes how difficult it is to prosecute these "crimes", and in fact states that after they bust the places, the gals (Whom they do not want to prosecute.), just go back home.  (Which makes me go hmmm, are they really the slaves that they want to make them out to appear?)   The worst thing they can say about is (other than the sex part) is that they have to sleep on the floor in the AMP, but I've seen these places and they look like it could be fun.

In any case, I'm sure TER members will find the article interesting, if nothing else.   It also serves as a reminder that you could easily get busted yourself when they raid these places.  It's a bit like Russian roulette.

By the way, I am NOT the hobbyist that they quote in the article, despite the similarity to my situation.

I was familiar with tbat web site... and yes occurred to me how eady a time LE would have with it.  
A friend if mine is into AMP's and encouraged me to try it. Not my thing... no interest... never did....  I saw a few within a few miles of my house... now busted.. a year or so ago.. no way  

Fish I'm not sure that so much is garbage for those places.. never having been there... no idea.. but I avoid because of my perceived concerns with the biz model...

My first AMP GF had a very nice apartment about twenty minutes from the spa, she worked such long hours she usually slept "at work" to get an extra hour of sleep each night and only slept at home on weekends and on her monthly "vacation"  

 

What was really funny was the fact that until her and I started dating she had never bothered buying a bed, "choosing" to sleep on a mat in the living room. I was only after we became an item that she got a couch and a bed, and she never used either of them except when I was around.

 
Lastly, the risk to the clients is grossly misrepresented, I have been frequenting AMPs for years and never once was I in fear of being arrested. Even if you happen to be on the premises during a raid, unless you are stupid enough to incriminate yourself, it's almost impossible for charges to be pressed against you, much less ever get convicted. In the overwhelming majority of AMP raids, the customers are kicked loose after the cops try to put a good scare into them, the employees are arrested either for solicitation or for "massage without a license", and the real charges of money laundering, or human trafficking are filed against the owners.

 

Quite frankly I find the accusations of "sex slavery" and human trafficking personally offensive and racist, and I want to smack anyone propagating such lies right across the face, but that's just me. lol

I suppose some of the gals might want to live there to save money which in many cases their families need very desperately in Korea.

Where the hell do you think they would live if they were in Seoul?   At the Ritz Carlton?

Most of the Korean girls in this country do not have "starving" families back home. Yes it's true they send home most of the money they make here, but it's not like their families would starve if not for the money they send home. Often they are sending the money home for safekeeping and/or investment and not to meet the day to day expenses of their relatives back home.

 
It's also not considered a hardship for most Asian girls to all pile into one room. I dated a Vietnamese girl for quite some time, this was back in my "casino days" this girl was hardly poor, but when she went to the casino without me, even though she could get dozen rooms for free if she wanted to, she and of all her friends would pile into a single room, sometimes with as many as 6-8 of them. It's just a cultural difference, not to mention a bit of racism where American reporters are concerned. Asian sex slaves make a great story, Asian girls working their tales off to buy a business back home, not so much.

It all depends on what kind of rice you are using. Processed rice is about a 1-1 ratio. Long grain brown rice is more like 1-2, and long grain white rice is about 1-1 1/2 rice to water.

 

Now if you want to make Jook, also known as Congee, it's more like a 1-6 ratio and you cook it for about two hours. If you want to know about rice, ask a chinaman. lol
