Why is it that only the Boston and New England Boards is where the moderator feels it is so imperative to post a 600 word, “Provider Ad Posting Guideline” all the time?  

And why is it stated in all CAPS that it is REQUIRED reading ?  

Is Boston and New England the only area in the country where the ad posting situation is so bad that we need these Nazi like rules spelled out every 4-5 days in a 600 word post?

And what if the providers don’t do the REQUIRED reading?  Do they get spanked?
And who monitors this reading REQUIREMENT?    
Are the ladies in the rest of the country following some rules of order but when they post on the New England and Boston boards they go all wily nily just to jam up the moderator?

Where does this compulsion come from to treat grown adults like children?

Am I the only one who feels we’re being over moderated and is bothered by this Nazi like phenomenon?    I’d don’t see any other moderator posting any “REQUIRED reading” post of Ad Guidelines every week and I don’t see why we need it here.

I find these "REQUIRED" reading post every week, 10 times more offensive than any Provider ad I've ever seen posted here.

Do a search on other regional boards, and you will find similar posts to what DD put up here. You have NO clue what moderators put up with behind the scenes, and you obviously have no respect for authority. A moderator has authority over the board members, and those who choose to ignore helpful FYI posts do so at their own risk.

The last thing moderators need is something(or someone) hindering their ability to function and maintain order, especially a veritable newbie like you. You've been here just over a year, and you think you know it all, don't you?

I'd bet that nobody can tell you a damn thing.

There are rules that govern provider ad posts and DD is merely posting them.  How is this over moderation?  You don't even have to open the post since you are not a provider...

Your own post, and the number of inaccuracies in it, is a perfect example.

You truly have no idea what you are talking about.
Beyond that....Sojourner7 and Bostonguy57 stated it extremely well.

The fact that your post was allowed to see the light of day...is proof that this board is not "over moderated".
You can feel free to ponder that until your head explodes from the irony.

That does beg the question, what has happened to the Boston "Discussion" Board?

Has it been moderated to the point that it just allows and encourages "discussion" about when the ladies are available?

Just review the threads on the Board.  Yes, DD, this thread answers his question.

This Board has eliminated everything but ads from the Boston "Discussion" Board.

I will agree that the Boston board is woefully devoid of "discussion.
I will agree that it is presently not much more than an ad board, at best.

If you, or anyone else, wants to blame that on moderation...you can join the ranks of those who have no clue what they are talking about.
You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who hates an "ad board" more than I do.....but I can only approve posts if someone makes them.
Got that? Simple concept.
There's no discussion because no one is trying to liven up the board with any.
I've started the Provider Friday thread since I began here....and occasionally a lady will attempt to start a daily picture theme thread.

What YOU and others need to be concerned about is what have YOU done to improve YOUR board and make it what YOU want it to be?

If some of you want to sit back, contribute nothing, and occasionally bitch about me and whine about the board....go right ahead. I'll approve 'em because I believe in freedom of speech.
But don't make the common mistake of blaming someone else when you offer nothing in the way of improvement.

Bottom line is that this is YOUR board, people. Make it what YOU want it to be!!

Don't blame the moderator, cuz he can't approve posts that aren't being made?

Huh??  You approve everything?  I'll guess I'll take you at your word, since no one but you would have that info.  Oh, and the posters who don't get posted.

Perhaps the Board is where it is, not because of you (giving U the benefit of the doubt (wink)) but because of your predecessors?

DD, are you an elected politician?  If not, you may want to consider a change in careers.  

I know, DD, you are not the problem, you are the solution.

That post didn't see the light of day because it added nothing of value to the board and would have taken up one of the limited 25 spaces available on page 1.
It was more suited to the P&R board.

Bottom line is ,this guy is always right,no matter what we say.It's always a 'nice try' or a 'fail' with him.We're (or at least, you're) being micro moderated.

The board is not being micro moderated. YOU are.

The job of the moderator is to monitor the board and approve posts that are not spam, do not contain viruses, and are not against the rules of the site admins.
It's an easy description, and it's exactly what I do. Even people who I don't like, or are painfully stupid, get to post.

You're upset because a post you made did not get approved. I explained in private, and will do so in public, that crapping on a provider ad is NOT allowed. Not on any board....not on this one....not ever.
If you have an issue with a provider you should contact her privately...as I suggested you do.
You didn't want to to that...you wanted to call names and start an argument.
So yet AGAIN today you try to slip the same thing in. Guess what? That one won't see the light of day either.
You're more than welcome to start your own thread if you want to bring your issues up in public...and you'll likely get your ass handed to you....just like the last time.
If you want to blame me when it's you who is too oblivious, rude, or dense to understand the rules....well that's your problem and not mine.

Once again, for any whiners and complainers out there, follow the SIMPLE rules of the board and damn near anything you want will go up.
FYI....I post the rules for provider ads....and helpful tips about how to post pictures....so that I don't have to deny 20 ads a day, then get all the follow up PMs about why the ad was denied.


Maybe I'll just take my foot off the brake and approve every single post in the approval queue for a day or two. Then you can see the first page of your board covered in spam ads from providers, spam from different countries, web links that contain viruses, and posts written in other languages.
Something tells me that the very same complainers would still be complaining. ;)

Not sure why I have lost interest in posting.  I used to enjoy posting a lot more...and the open debate of issues on the board.  Now just read the ads and pick my girl of the week.

I understand rules are issued by "Staff" and each moderator has to run regional boards accordingly.  Being moderator is a difficult and thankless job I am sure.  Would not want to do it.  All kinds of crap and traps to deal with.

Oh well, back to my porn vids.  Goodnight.
