all the damn tourists in the world come to see the leaves change colors in October....hotel rooms in Boston will hit $500/night!

October in Mass in lovely great photo opps so bring your camera

It gets worse than the spike in October hotel prices due to leaf peepers.

There are wiped out hotel room availabilities in mid October due to Parents Weekends at colleges around Boston, Cambridge, etc. Sky high room prices.

And there is the massive influx of Head of the Charles crew races weekend of October 18 and 19

The MIT Family Weekend is Oct 17, 18, 19.

To make things 'worse' Oliver Smoot is coming back to MIT October 4th to once again measure the Harvard Bridge with his body and ear. The Platters will help celebrate with a concert.
