I didn't get to the sightseeing part. Once again, what are your interests?
.
It could be broken down into permanent Boston sights and transient Boston sights.
.
Permanent: Museums (art - MFA, Fogg, Gardner, etc,; Science; Childrens'; etc.); historical buildings and statues; walking the Freedom Trail; New England Aquarium; popular night clubs, theaters, etc.. Riding the MBTA subways! Kind of like riding the MTA in NYC but in miniature.
.
Transient or Seasonal: Various shows and exhibitions that only have a limited run (Blue Man Group ended their 30-year Boston run in July). Sailing or kayaking on the Charles River. Riding the Swan Boats in the Public Garden (Uh oh! Last day of Swan Boat season was Sep 1!) Do you like baseball? Check the Red Sox schedule at Fenway Park (a great ballpark, just to say you were there).
.
What are your typical interests: sports, museums, concerts, ...? Here's the Schedule of Events at Boston Symphony Hall:

I am so excited to finally be visiting Boston this month and want to enjoy some of your beautiful city. I will not have a car during my visit, but pretty open to things unique to Boston. Looking forward to exploring!

Before I forget: See this thread:

Do you have any preferences? Traditional "New England" food (like the Pilgrims and Thanksgiving and Paul Revere)?  Italian (the North End)? Chinese (Chinatown)? Fresh seafood (Waterfront)? The Beacon Bistro is on the 50th floor of the Prudential Center (tower) with a view of Boston and environs. Brazilian Tapas? Boston has it all!
.
Which reminds me of a story ... I met up with a friend to go to dinner. He said, "We have to stop someplace so I can get change this Benjamin into a stack of singles." I said, "What for?" He said, "I need singles to tip the girls." I said, "I said we're going to a TAPAS place, you moron!" But I digress ...
.
Boston style pizza -- if there IS a "Boston style pizza" -- is "ok" IMO but not great. (There are a few exceptions.) I'm from NYC so I prefer NYC 'Za!
.
Help us narrow things down for you!

Boston Symphony Hall:

It's accessible by the.T, the fall foliage there is gorgeous and there is a family of swans with 4 big cygnets just starting to learn how to fly at Ward's pond.

Got to legal seafood for a cup of clam chowder
