And I usually post The Neighborhood Map to help you make sense of suggestions.  

The most common suggestion will likely be "Back Bay" (the big yellow area). Within Back Bay is the Copley Square area. Also popular are Theater District, Financial, Downtown Waterfront, South Boston Waterfront (KEEP YOUR WATERFRONTS CLEAR! They are very close but still 10-20 minutes apart if you or a guest ends up at the wrong location. "... at the Downtown Waterfront, near the Aquarium" versus "... at the South Boston W'front, near the Convention Center." And don't rule out Cambridge, across from the West End.
