Being a kiwi, and new to the US I have found the whole screening system overwhelming.  
It's legal back home, we have no worry of LE or troubled clients so screening is pretty much non existent.

I am uncomfortable with guys. I'm slightly uncomfortable with women who are significantly older than the provider, but I can usually power through. I think the more the screener reminds me of myself, either by being a guy or by being older, the more self-conscious I become. Having said that, a really sweet, charming, flirty, older woman can turn me to putty.

I have no problem with an assistant or extra screening if the provider is my type.  

Even if it is a little off dealing with a third party. If I know I'm dealing with an assistant, my communications are very business like. Dealing with the lady directly gives me a sense of who she is based on her response.

Not at all. It's good to have somebody dedicated to taking care of the administrative side and just being able to be available to pick up the phone instead of being on an appointment. I feel that booking assistants are definitely the way to go, especially if you're from out of town. There is something to be said for knowing the lay of the local land from a safety standpoint.

What is it about dealing with assistants you dislike?  
I would like to make the process as pleasent as possible for people.

Pro: Assistants are (usually) good communicators, which helps make the booking process smooth and efficient.

Some assistants try to come across all coo-cooing and pretending to be the girl in the ad. You show up at the room and the voice is different, she has no recollection of the stuff you spoke about on the phone and only then do you hear, "Oh, that was my assistant." It can almost be classified as Bait and Switch, depending on how important the phone call interactions were to seal the deal.  

It feels like some ease dropping. But I can understand how the providers like it.  It like what was said previously , if she is good and tells you this at the get go and communicate to the provider the correspondence then cool.  
Otherwise it really just feels like a transaction all the way around. JMHO 😀   But damn you are gorgeous!!

I have hired an assistant who is completely upfront  to help with screening, and organising apppintments. With my other profession this allows for a more prompt response. Once screening is completed I like to interact with my future date to build a connection prior to our date.

Thank you for your insightful perspective. I don't understand having an assistant that is not upfront. I aim and expect them to have an air  of professionalism and kindness. They are there to assist and make screening simple and hastle free. I enjoy interacting with my customers where the time permits, as I believe a pre-established connection heightens the enjoyment.

I utterly agree with you  about the effect of  only conversing with an assistant. Where time permits after screening is complete  I prefer to engage with my future date. I find the personal connection enhances the experience

Generally if it helps communication its fine, but there is still something lost when you are not communicating directly with the provider.   Also I've had numerous instances where the assistant has failed to pass on some info/request to the provider -- 2 levels of communication mean 2 places where info can get lost.

First: I tried to look at your personal website, gisellemcpherson.com . It doesn't load for me. I get nothing. I, and many others, use TOR Browser or other VPN or proxy server.  I always post the same advice:  
This ain't Disney. This ain't yahoo news. We (clients) need to keep things simple and safe. NO FLASH! NO SCRIPTS! and so on. Please test your website using TOR and ask your webmaster to make it TOR friendly.  

They can be a real pain in the ass to get references from but sweet as pie when they need one.

Some of us know what is required and we are more than willing to give you the information you identify on your site.  I use a well known verification site to reach out to a lady I'm interested in meeting and all that data is already there.  It's when we get a note back that it's not enough and now more information is needed.  It would make things easier, if you ladies identify all of the data you want to verify us.  You may identify items that quite frankly I'm not so willing to provide.  

Believe me I do appreciate where you're coming from. How's this, I have a man who's been contacting me since  2006. He still refuses to give me references because it's too personal. Meet me for coffee and all that horse shit.

Had a great time with a girl from Brazil who spoke very little English.  She had an assistant who did a great job handling the phone, screening, and booking...and was very pleasant.

I've never dealt with a lady who had one, and certainly wouldn't have an issue with it. I mean - this IS a business, after all. Sometimes you need someone to handle the organizational end of things.

Ok well at least in my fantasy that's what happens and she's dressed like a librarian/secretary with spex appeal.

I dont understand why a provider would give up 20-30% to a assistant or even better yet 40-50% to a service. I'm sure it's just being lazy,but why expose yourself.

I contemplated doing the Indy thing without an assistant, but also for me Bonnie was the exception. Some assistants or agencies will just book an appointment and only tell you "you have a 4:00 with such and such" & and I'm sure providers that can relate will agree to the uncomfort level of that! Why pay a % when I could do it all myself? It has nothing to do with laziness on my part. Having her assist me takes the stress and hassle out of the business end of things so that I can focus solely on providing at my very best! It's a huge weight of my shoulders and truly makes this job more rewarding! She's exceptional with screening and is happy to provide references! I know she's very selective with whom she schedules for me, and if something's questionable we'll ALWAYS discuss it first. My comfort level is imperative to her, for that I'm thankful because she knows the more comfortable I am, overall the better provider I'll be. She likes to get a feel for my client's, their likes and dislikes, then fill me in before meeting them. This helps me know what to expect and gives me ideas on how to satisfy She's good at what she does, & All of that makes a world of difference for me! All of these qualities imo are very important factors one should take into consideration when looking to hire an assistant. It's a bonus that she's a former provider herself, finding someone who can totally relate and has experience is also key!  I know at the end of the day she always has my best interest at heart prioritized over making $$$. All this allows me peace of mind which imo is priceless  I can't recall ever having a client tell me they dislike the fact that I have an assistant, in fact I'm far more often told the opposite...

I can see it for some services if they provide a driver/security guy maybe. Also if they do a good job of screening the guys. But yes 40-50%  is a lot.

Thank you for that feedback. I will make sure they are always sweet as pie. From what I can see in my email they respond my nicely and promptly to girls requests.

I actually find your "LAZY" comment extremely  judgemental.  
For some girls this their full time job, they have all the time in the world for admin.  
Others work full time positions, and this is a side gig, so to them it makes sense to hire an assistant to respond Monday-Friday 9-5 as that is when most enquires come in and ensures Clients a prompt response.
